Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I thought the performances were strong. Fienes was great, Hoult played his role well, I liked Anya was the eyes of the audience in how absurd it all was. It was like a reverse Ratatouille with horror elements. I think it's deeper meaning was lost a bit as it was essentially "eat the rich" but I liked that it was these passionate cooks who were fed up with these idiots ruining their passion. I liked the food elements a lot, as someone who is passionate about the field and industry. It was funny at times, creepy, didn't know where it would go, and it was just a fun experience.
[The Menu] I just recently watched the film for the first time. I really liked your review on the movie.

Faster is actually a good watch as a straight forward action revenge movie. it's essentially an homage to action movies of the 80s with Billy Bob as the inept cop chasing a killer. Its very underrated and much different than most roles Dwayne has taken, he's not the typical hero in this one. Nothing mind blowing but a solid mindless watch.

damn, Fatal Attraction.

I watched another movie “Derailed” with a Clive Owen. If that trio can’t convince you to stay faithful, I don’t know what can, man

I didn’t realize Michael Douglas is pushing 80 :wow: He mastered the sleazy corporate executive role. Pulls it off as effortlessly as a Dame Lillard 3-point shot

Dunno about that but certainly a clingy psycho stalker lover would definitely give you something to think about. I wouldn't mind it though if I was single and could have a relationship with that but not something like a Glenn Close scenario.

I have been there and done that with the Glenn Close scenario and I was single. I’m good, man

Also have you guys rewatched Ant Man 1? Scott Lang was a petty “cat burglar” in and out of prison, completely forgot :lol

"Mr. Carson introduced me to these fine gentlemen here. They're representatives of Hydra. They're not what they were. They're doing some interesting work. And I'm enjoying myself.

You tried to hide your technology from me. And now it's going to blow up in your face."

...

Bro Corey Stoll was a mid-2010s thing after House of Cards and then vanished

Corey Stoll is actually prominently featured on Billions (Showtime) and took over for Damian Lewis as lead as of last season.

Some Richard Belzer trivia. I knew his John Munch character appeared in multiple different series for many years, but didn’t know he was this ubiquitous -

Quite an accomplishment, IMO. RIP.

Oh my God.
One thing I do remember about Chernobyl even more than my lack of interest was the praise being constantly heaped on it.

It won a number of EMMYS and still I remember the conversation being more about CHERNOBYL being snubbed for many, many others, many more than it WON.

I have seen some pretty upsetting TV and Film over my years. There are some pretty vile things over time that every demographic could be upset or disgusted by from Sex, Gender, Race, Religion, Slavery, Molestation, Rape, Incest, Neglect, Trafficking, Genocide just to name a few.

With every vile thing I’ve seen or experienced this isn’t something I thought would upset me so much..but it’s up there atop that list.

The Cold Open delivered by a very endearing but ashamed Jared Harris, that got me right away. Hearing him say Dyatolov didn’t deserve PRISON he deserved DEATH really put me on alert AND, from the very first moment I saw Dyatolov I understood. He was infuriating.
Every scene you go from a dumbass character to an even dumber more infuriating character like the duo of Fomin and Bryukhinov who once found out, immediately dip Dyatolov in the grease. I mean they even had a list prepared for Boris before he even asked, claiming those on the list were responsible. What a monumental f up.

Missing (2023) 🔥🔥🔥

This was absolutely fire. 2 hours of pure suspense. Hands down the best of the "all on the internet" movies I've seen. It's a nail biter from beginning to end. A great mystery sleuth movie. Don't know what else to say except I highly recommend. Watch this one y'all.

Solid movie. Saw it last night. Agreed with everything you said.

“You know what I’d really like?”

“Tell me.”

“A Big Mac.”

“We can do a Big Mac.”

“A real Big Mac. Not some fancy deconstructed avant ********. A real…Big Mac.”

“I’ll make you a very good, very traditional Big Mac.”

“I’ll make you feel as if you’re eating the first Big Mac you ever ate.”

Final Course: A Big Mac
What she asked for: Big Mac with medium coke and fries (medium)
What she got: Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame-seed bun. (medium fries)
