Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Movies I haven’t seen for some reason. Any thoughts/input would be appreciated. If you are to place judgement, you must leave a rating on said film. /10 or /8 scales are both acceptable.

Erin Brockovich
Precious
These are my 'You gotta see this' picks out of what you listed.
It’s a Wonderful Life
This is my judgment one. The next opportunity you have to watch a movie, it's this one. It was suggested to me in this thread when I was complaining about how I can't really connect with old movies.

It's on prime.

9/8, conservatively.

This has been parading in my face since it first came out. Still haven't watched it.

5-7 certainly started to slant after the book stuff, but it also had Hardhome, Hodor, and Battle of the Bastards etc. Holes for sure, but it still brought a ton of heat. If S8 pays off, then those seasons get overlooked just fine. Since 8 crashed, people start goin back and dissecting, I know I did. I asked why the hell S7 even took place if not one thing came of it.
For me, S8 wasn't bad. It just wasn't the best one and was underwhelming especially with the build up they did with the previous seasons and that made people dislike it . Ending made sense but didn't gave the audience what they were hoping for.

It hasn’t even been a year since the slap we’ll check up on it, don’t know that he’ll just disappear
I was checking up on him for a while.
Not that I ever followed his Socials but he was active enough that they found me……
….:it got to where I was looking a couple of times per month to start 2023 and after 4-5 months of zeroDark30 I just never saw him resurface. Caught wind of the Oscar “snub” for the perfect Oscar bait film, EMANCIPATION-right before the is years Oscar’s and was like damn, Man is still gone. Even his apology in July of 22 I missed, caught his acceptance speech at the NAACP(I think) Awards recently where he briefly touched on it, got to thinking of his roles in King Richard, Six Degrees of Separation, Enemy of the State and of course his flawless cover of Ali and all of a sudden I’m feeling bad for this goofy like damn, Man just made a few wrong moves too many and boom, he’s just done……

Ali though, it’s good to see him again where he was on top. “The more Real you get the more Unreal things get” - a quote from the film Ali-something Lennon supposedly said to Cassius when they met
Sums it up quite nicely.

I miss Enemy of the State Will Smith.
Ali Will Smith.

I think I’ll watch one of those.
So weird seeing him disappearing.
What a downturn.
Same here. Great Movie. You can blame the wife for his downturn. Can't wait for the women's movement to defend that dog of a wife of his.

Wonder what the main guy of Prison Break did after I mean I could look it up but …

He was in a few Resident Evil movies, had some guest appearances on The Flash and starred in the Legends of Tomorrow spinoff for a few seasons.

watched Lincoln Lawyer last night. 8 out of ****ing 8. if you like trial/law thrillers...must watch
Movie was phenomenal!! It feels like 20 years since a movie was made in that style. I’d give it a 7.5/8 thanks for the input!

Thank you thank you!!

Oh snap, here come the tears Man.

I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing the first time I saw this scene. It really changed my life. I definitely turned a corner. Strength found I didn’t know I had, and it came from a Hollywood Production.
Crazy how something so, Hollywood and trivial-immediately becomes consequential and has such a lasting impact on you….

I re-watched Enemy of The State a month or two ago. That was some damn good acting. I miss that William.

Creed III was solid, few laughable moments that knicked my attention, but overall solid.

Spent the entire film rooting for Kang tho.....like him a lot in this.
