Thanks for the recomend fams. About to start season 2. See what the new cast is cooking.
For season 2 I'd recommend trying not to compare it to 1. I think if you just let the 2 stand on their own you'll enjoy it more. I found 2 enjoyable but nowhere near as good as s1. As mentioned the casting is great in s2 but the story can feel flat at times.

I've also been planning to start s3 sometime but just have so many other things to start watching.

Watched Red One last night because I have Prime, it was available and curiosity. About what I expected, maybe a little better. A very The Rock affair.

Some cool visual effects and action sequences. The main storyline and world building was decently done, but the deadbeat dad subplot with Chris Evan’s’ character felt very obligatory/thrown in.

Definitely not good for little kids because of the intensity of the action and some mild cussing.

3.625/8.

Just so everyone knows I’m still on my 4K journey. Best Buy getting out of the 4K space has made things tougher.

With that said, my general thoughts are as follows.

1. I think Zoe Saldana is a solid actress but her acting in Lioness has been pretty mediocre to poor. She’s done great in other action type roles but her character is the least enjoyable part of that show for me.

2. Yellowstone is a 🗑️ show with 🗑️ characters. Not to mention the wonkiest streaming arrangement and that show can’t end fast enough.

3. Landman has promise but the show is incredibly boring. Every episode is terrible up until the last few minutes when someone gets hurt. First episode was flames.

4. Silo Season 2 has been terrible thus far and extremely boring.

5. Lower Decks ending is really making me mad. Legit one of the best shows out but budget cuts got it which is trash.

Lioness is like the big dumb action espionage thriller fix vs other slower ones, I like it for what it is. The last episode made it feel like the story continues. In love with Genesis Rodriguez though, looks like a sexier lady gaga.

Gave up Yellowstone and pass on Landman.

Yeah I'm stopping Silo S2 until end of season, then binge. That's how I saw S1 and was hooked. Good thing is they're shooting s3, and s4 is approved so it will be a complete story.

I'll miss Lower Decks, but this season hasn't felt like a final season. Like they didn't get a chance to add some depth and tell a great story.

Lioness is a great show it’s just that they want us to care about Zoe and her home life and I don’t care. Doc husband is clearly only with her because she’s hot 🥵. Lower Decks team was blindsided by the news that this season was it. Paramount is trying to cut costs yet giving the green light to 🤡 shows like the Agency and whatever Yellowstone related show they have.

Damn, I can’t remember the last time I was into a show as much as Landman. Feel like after episode one, I’ve been locked yo

I still watch but the show is just boring to me. I don’t care about Thornton, Larter, the daughter or the goofy looking son. Only person I rock with is da cartel dude and Jon Hamm.

The Sheridan shows aren’t my thing. The subject matter just doesn’t interest me enough to make the time commitment. I absolutely see the appeal for others though.

lawdog1 lawdog1 Think I remember you mentioning that you’ve just recently watched The Birds (1963)? Did you like it?

Reason I ask is because I decided to revisit it myself last night. (On Netflix)

I’ve been fascinated with Hitch’s work ever since the 3-D attraction at Universal Studios
