Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Yo, you called out Hugo and Shaun of the Dead, both Chester and JA gonna lose it when they see that. :lol

Forgot to mention the previews from last night, the Wolverine one was different than the net one that came out on Wed, Got damn I'm so ready for that. It looks solid as can be.
Saw a new World War Z trailer as well, and it looks even better than the first preview did. Looks a helluva lot more complex than I thought. My curiosity rose big time with that one.
Then I saw previews for about 9 different Rock movies due out before June. :lol

I originally came in here to say that I just got done watching the Austin Powers trilogy for the first time in forever, and I didn't realize before how terrible Goldmember is. as funny as International Man of Mystery and The Spy Who Shagged Me are, Goldmember is just as dry and lame.

Agree. Goldmember pretty much just recycled and overdid a lot of the stuff that was funny in the Spy Who Shagged Me. It just didn't work as well the second time around. Also -- and I don't think its her fault -- Beyonce just didn't work in Goldmember. She just seemed out of place.

I think International Man of Mystery is the best of the bunch. Its just as funny as Spy Who Shagged Me, but the humor is smarter and more subtle.
Martin Scorsese developing 'Gangs of New York' TV series
The series would draw from the history of late 1800s gangs not only in New York, but also in other cities such as Chicago and New Orleans.

“This time and era of America’s history and heritage is rich with characters and stories that we could not fully explore in a two-hour film,” Scorsese said in a statement. “A television series allows us the time and creative freedom to bring this colorful world, and all the implications it had and still does on our society, to life.”
So Boardwalk Empire set a 100 years earlier. I can dig it :smokin

This'll probably have way more racist moments in it though.

Prick

Every time The Terminal is on, I end up watching it through to the end. Underrated movie IMO. Love the old Hollywood feel of the movie.

Pabst,
Ain't no need to call anyone names because they don't like a movie.

It was a joke, he calls him a prick in the movie, no maliciousness behind it :lol

Just finished Skyfall. Easily my favorite out of the Daniel Craig Bond movies. Solid film. Got Zero Dark Thirty coming in the mail tomorrow.

*Despite falling asleep 1/2 thru Argo, I really enjoyed it.

Same here with The Terminal.

Stanley Tucci is a solid actor. He just becomes whatever role he's asked to play & when he plays a prick, you really hate him.

Tarantino talks about food & drink in his movies... I remember I wanted a Hawaiian burger & a Sprite after seeing Pulp fiction...

Seeing Oz with the lady tonight. Please tell me its not horrible NT.
Great Prison Show.

"o brother where art thou?"

was such a great film, i was very reluctant to watch it because i thought it was a musical.

there were couple of scenes where the dudes sang and music played but it was all done so well.

I HATE MUSICALS, AND ANYTHING WITH SINGING OR DANCING..

this was nothing like that, i tried to watch abraham lincoln vampire hunter but i turned it off 30 mins in...

very boring and underwhelming flick..

He probably meant Oz the movie... I doubt he and his girl are planning a Friday night date and marathoning Season 1 of Oz the show

New Wahlberg and Denzel trailer

2 Guns  centers on a DEA agent (Denzel) and an undercover naval intelligence officer (Wahlberg) who unwittingly investigate each other as each steals mob money, but eventually learn that they are actually both being set up by the mob to steal $50 million from the CIA.

I had to go out and buy it after I watched it. :smokin Like...I know he's made the greatest _____ ever and all that. But a part of me wants to forget all of his great big movies, and say this is my favorite Spielberg movie. I mean I can quote half of this flick. It was one my favorite movies the year it came out, and I just loved the corny accent, the airport mall people, the janitors...that Indian dude killed me... and CZJ never looked so good.

I think if it wasn't a Spielberg movie, people would've like it a lot more when it came out.

Most of the time, yup. "Thees eez Jazz."

What's the worst movie you guys have watched?
I'm sure there's worse, that I can't think of right now but...

The Bunny Game is my Ken Park. :{

A big ****** up Santa looking truck driver picks up this hitchhiking prostitute, throws her in the back of his truck and just ***** with her..

That's the whole movie.

And whatever part of you might wanna think...oh that'll be _______...interesting?...so sadistic you gotta see it to say you saw it?...torture porn?...shocking?...man-reactionly?...Yeah, dead all of that. It's artsy, pretentious nothingness, in black and white, because why the hell not. All it makes you feel at the end is disgusted and annoyed that the people who made it exist. And it's not even so bad or ****** up that you'd bother to tell anyone about.

That's the worst movie I can think of.

You've already used that one on me when I've said this before.

Least Pabst was original.

(and btw, I took no offense to your reply, Pabst. I'm more offended by Chester's lack of originality, but what can you do, you know?)

Does it make things any better if I were to rank the 4 movies I mentioned and put Shaun above... Hugo? That piece of crap was... *shudders*

the worst movie I have watched was probably that 3rd or 4th Twilight movie, the one where she gets pregnant.  It was ridiculous.

I tend to like cheesy, campy movies though so I probably like ones most people would call their worst...

Has anyone seen Defendor?  Is it worth watching?

also again... anyone?
