Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Shhhhhh.

It's still a great show.

And they at least had the decency to squeeze their whole "season 6/slap in the face" into the finale episode. :lol :{

Have to be honest, not the biggest LA Confidential fan. Certainly not a bad movie just not my cup of tea. I think it's cuz I just didn't like most of the characters.

But Spacey's run around that time was unreal

My son watched that with me the other day & thought it was hilarious. It's so funny hearing him genuinely laugh at movies. It's like watching a movie for the first time...

Are you talking about Goonies or Sandlot? Because my son (7) loves the Goonies. We showed it to him a couple years ago and now he watches it every couple months. He probably likes it a little too much, since he quotes lines from it in class and has done the Chunk "truffle shuffle" to some random people. Still, it is cool re-watching movies you like with your kid(s).

I was talking about Sandlot. He loved Goonies too but haven't watched it for a minute. My son (9), was grossed out by the Fratelli's mom & Sloth...

The interesting thing to me is, those movies still had some dark parts in them. Especially the goonies

I think adult could watch either and enjoy it.

If they showed the scene of the boy pretending to drown so he could kiss a lifeguard it would be controversial and called rape nowadays :{

So would one of the kids dying in Afghanistan during the ending

hey guys. i just finished jericho
nthat.gif
i was looking for some advice on a action packed tv series.
i tried white colar but i couldnt get thought the first 3 episodes.

ive seen: games of thrones, suits, soa, jericho, walking dead, the wire. breaking bad. appreciated it fam.
The Shield, it's very fast paced, and has a good combination of "case of the week" type stories and overarching story. It gets very tense as the main characters get themselves into/out of more and more jams.

venom lyrix coming thru wit the trailer like he slanging rocks!!! Now I'm looking forward to Elysium, Star Trek, & Man of Steel!!!

Hows zero dark thirty, is it worth a rent??

Most of the regulars in this thread liked it and some really liked it. I've seen at least one person post that they didn't like it all, but I'm pretty sure he was the only one.

Yea thats' what I saw, heard from different people.

Some said it was great and some said it was terrible.

Guess I'm gonna have to waste $1 and find out lol.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters....the first one was actually pretty decent. A lot better than I was expecting, plus Im a sucker for anything dealing with any type of mythology.

:eek...Perks...was Percy Jackson...>D I'm happy I didn't realize that watching it. :lol
ELYSIUM trailer. Looks very solid, going to keep an eye out for this one.

Blomkamp is so damn good at marrying special fx with the real world. You could tell they held back on the money shots, but it still looks hard-R, which is always appreciated. I'm not even mad at how many "**** Earth" dystopia sci-fi movies are coming out this year. :lol Hell, I even don't mind Jodie Foster, with that wife from House of Cards swag.

If this is half as good as District 9, it'll be awesome.
...and to think...this dude could've made the Halo movie. :{ Fire Hollywood.
The 25 Best TV Episodes of All Time, According to IMDB Users
Most of us are familiar with the IMDB Top 250 movies of all time, a list of the best movies of all time as ranked by the IMDB users. Shawshank Redemption sits atop that list now, along with Godfather and Godfather II. As lists of the best movies of all time go, it’s not without complaint, but it’s probably the best you’re going to find, unless you make your own. Yesterday while doing some Internet sleuthing, I inadvertently backdoored by way into IMDB’s Top 100 Television Episodes of All Time, a list that I didn’t know existed. It is comprised almost entirely of recent episodes, and there are a couple of head scratchers amongst them, but it’s also a solid list (especially if you’re a fan of AMC and HBO).

My take-away: I actually completely agree with the top three choices, and there are several others among the entires that I’d certainly put in my top 25. (I’d bump “My Screw-Up” into the top 5. Period). I’ve also learned that perhaps I should’ve watched “House, M.D.” more often than I did, and what? “Person of Interest” is good?

You can check out the top 100 yourself on IMDB, but here’s a list of the top 25 episodes of all time, as ranked by IMDB users. Quibble, quarrel, and bicker away.
