You too clever ****** that don't deal with system issues all the time like to overthink these things. I've seen enough corporate computer issues go bad on a global scale easily smoothed over by pr. Is it possible they meant to do this? sure, but unlikely. Most likely a system issue. And i'm sure they could cover more ground by sending out 1 extra iPad as opposed to 5 if it was a marketing ploy.
