OZARK [A Netflix Original Series | Season 3 | 2019??]

game of thrones better than breaking bad?
i guess in terms of being an easier program to watch for less intelligent people, it probably is much better.

Read the basic plotline on wikipedia. Does main character play essentially the same character as in Arrested Development?

does it pick up after the first ep?

thought it was was kind of boring tbh...

I thought it did. I thought it was great overall. I thought there was 1 episode that was kinda filler, but I think that's the general consensus with people on here.

I probably shouldn't admit this out loud, but I am actually from the area where this show is supposed to take place.

One thing that is annoying about Ozark is I legit have to turn on captions anytime Snell talks :smh:

Seriously?!

Idk maybe because Im from the South then, I didnt have any issues understanding him.

Im sure everyone else isnt from the south though, no complaints. Hmmm

I did think it was interesting that they take very seriously the distinction between redneck and hillbilly

Curious how they define them both

lol I dunno bra I've lived in the south for the past 12 yrs but that man sounded like a carny to me

The last 2 episodes of Ozark were fire

I think it was from the story he was telling the strip club dude (can't remember the name) on the front porch. Something about one of them throwing down an empty whisky/liquor bottle bottle.....

Yea I remember the story but even the story didn't really explain the difference between the two just that the redneck was stupid

Theres a difference. Not sure how to explain it PC
Dude at work from Arkansas told me the difference, basically the low budget group living in the trailer parks are rednecks. They appear poor, no class, smallminded in money making schemes, and unkempt. The Snells are enterprise thinking, well off financially, appear as pillars in the community, and clean appearance physically and business wise.

There you go

I don't see how you can watch this show and not see the difference between the Snells and the Langmores. Look at where they live and their status in society.

Those two families yea, but the term hillbilly has rarely been a compliment. Same with redneck

But yeah i was say a distinct difference between Langmores and Snells

I guess the Snells dont consider themselves working class or political. They just want to live on their land at the top of the food chain
