OZARK [A Netflix Original Series | Season 3 | 2019??]

Just finished... season was fire.

One nitpick... when Marty was texting Charlotte telling her to come home

Why did the blue text bubble pop up on Marty’s iPhone when Charlotte was texting from a crusty *** Android... we all know the text bubbles are green when you texting non-iPhone users

Fully missed that

Also I don't get the hate on Wendy or comparisons to Skylar. She is way more competent, way more active, way more effective. They only really have the cheating storyline in common.

I'm on Season 2 Ep 8 and this drug dealer brother is quite possible the worst actor ever

Sidenote: Why are female leads in shows like these so damn unlikeable? (no misogyny). Can't stand Wendy, hated Skylar from BB, hated Claire Danes in Homeland

just started that ep so his acting might get worse but from what ive seen so far compared to agent petty he's bob f*****g deniro

edit: yeah he's pretty bad

Good season, I think I liked Season 1 a bit more, granted I only watched both seasons just once, but also feels a bit like Marty was softer this season. This was more Wendy's season to shine in my opinion. I also did notice the Android-Iphone texting screen, someone in the editing room missed that. Even on the iPhone you cant see the android person texting.

One thing I wished they could have done better was the Esai Morales character goes away in season 1, but then season the whole Mexican cartel is to believe he went to Chicago, yeah right. I would have liked to have seen more of a War between Snells and the Mexican cartel with Marty and them in the middle still trying to figure out how to get out.

did you miss a episode

did you miss a episode
Maybe I did miss a bit, spoiler it for me then. I just dont like how the whole representation is absent, it feels we just have Helen and then talk of the cartel and have one shootout with the Snells. I would think they would send some men to figure out what happened in the Ozark, but if I missed something then I may rewatch.

i dont like that they killed dell the hispanic guy but pay the white woman lawyer so much obeisance

Like she not threatening when all she talk about is what her client will do

I could see if she was like one of those femme fatale like assassin/lawyer types

But imo its jus to make her look like her superpower is white privilege

Yeah you can't deny that this show has a very white slant, not sure if it's on purpose in the way Mad Men is. Realistically that lawyer probably reports to Dell.

Thought it was obvious that it had a white slant.

Its baked in the 1st episode

Then in Kaleidoscope ep showing how it started its even more apparent.

I'm still waiting for the ep that explains why the **** Marty chose the Ozarks. Privileged white guy laundering money for the cartel in Chi, **** hits the fam and he randomly goes to Missouri for his second chance. Happens to run in to some rednecks peddling heroin, survives that just to get in to it with the Kansas City mob?

I mean come the **** on.

I'm happy there isn't a lot of black ppl in this.

yooooooooooooooooo
i peeped that too

S2 was real good. I'd say better than s1 but it pretty much concluded a lot of things set up in s1 so it paid off that way. If it's one thing the show does keep me watching.

Good deal of characters I didn't like died and that was good. Just a few I hope die later on

Young Darlene though

Charlotte dumb. Emancipation may get her to live some sort of normal life but she ain't going in to hiding. Cartel, Marty's PI, feds, will all be able to find her. Kinda feel like the writers just got tired of her attitude and it was easier to write her off the show especially since Wyatt ain't hitting that. Hope she gone though. Like go move in with Wyatt.

Wendy came through in the clutch :pimp: She clearly falling in love with the life though. Can't wait to see how she gets the baby back.

I'm gonna need me some more flashback eps for Marty though. Gonna need to know a bit about him. Also gonna need to know the real reason he chose the Ozarks of all places.

Pretty sure he chose the Ozarks because of Bruce. I don't 100% recall it from the first season but I believe Bruce was telling Marty how the Ozarks was a goldmine for potentially laundering money and I think he had a brochure about it or something.

Bruce suggests investing in the Ozarks to Marty and then Marty sees the brochure on the ground as Del was getting ready to kill him. Marty talks Del into sparing his life and giving him time to launder the money.

Only thing that was a bit far fetched was offing Ash as justice for Del Rio.

I don't have first hand knowledge of how retribution in the underworld works...but a goon's life for a cartel leader's doesn't seem like an even trade

They didn't even get to kill him themselves

Also looking forward to the new agent the FBI puts on to this case.

Has to be better than Petty and that submissive black agent.

No way they just set Marty loose to have the Ozarks to himself and just thrive and conduct more criminal activity. Cuz the pace he's on he'll be dealing and waring with the Russian mob and Triad by s4

See I vaguely remember this.

But even then, now I'd really need to see Bruce's thinking for why the ******* Ozarks was a ******* goldmine

Just some ******** he was peddling to Marty or was he serious?

Not proportional at all

At the least they should've made Ash the Snell's nephew or something so it had some meaning.

Fam I love this show. Thought this season was a little bit better.

The best and worst part about Netflix series is putting everything up at once lol

I love I got to Watch the whole season in a week but pissed I probably have to wait another year for a new season :smh:

Oh and Marty was definitely ***** this season

Is it me or did they change the actor of Three midway in the second season? One episode he was young and had the bowl cut and the next he had short hair and a deeper voice

Finished the s2 finale, I think I liked season 1 a bit better.

Season 3 with the casino should be so good :nthat:
