Paris 2024 Summer Olympics: Wednesday PM - Alcaraz/Nadal fall to USA in Team Doubles, Katie Ledecky wins 1500M free in record-breaking time 🥇🥈🥉

It looks like him and Lily King really fell off

Couldn’t watch live.. but the lack of underwaters is killing him

In the semis he usually uses his last underwater to overtake everyone.. but you could see it in the 100, he shoulda been way ahead off that wall

He popped up in 2nd after the last underwater but just lost steam after that and ended in 6th

Yea that’s weird.. US trials was light work for dude.. maybe Covid

Even how he lost the 100 was weird.. cause if he’s out, it’s over

Marchand doubling up on golds on the same night :pimp: :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

Having an incredible Olympics man and I think he still has 1 or 2 potential more medal left to potentially earn

USA finished 7 and 8 out of 8 swimmers for the men 100m freestyle, USA has won a medal in that event the past 4 olympics

US gotta seriously consider going with hunter Armstrong to anchor the medley relay with what those guys have done this week

Especially is dressel is going be 49 low on the fly split because of the pool killing his underwaters

They got a 6 point deduction too and they're still through , gonna get a shot at defending their Gold from Tokyo now after their Olympics looked dead in the water a week ago.

Those players have that fortitude man, showing whatever bs their coaches were up to doesn't define the players

Marchand was out in 1:00.59 for the 200

Winning time of the 100 was 59.03

Dude is otherworldly in mid distance.. but he can sprint too.. he has like the 3rd fastest ncaaa 100 free, fastest 100 breast relay split (think also the fastest 50 breast relay split), 2nd fastest 200 free (he swam at Arizona state.. also has the ncaa records for 200 and 400 IMs and 500 free)

He had the 200 free record too leading off the 4 x 200 relay on the first night.. and then it got broken by Hobson on the last day of the meet in the individual event

Phelps was just in the studio talking about how insane 46.40 is for the 100 free and to win by over 1 sec margin

That’s a very solid short course yards time.. I think only 1 or 2 women have been sub 46 100 free short course yards.. most state meets for high school that’s top 5 for guys

Xennial Xennial just saw the 100 free final, US definitely gotta go hunter Armstrong if both dudes are barely under 48 in the final
