i know i'm digging a little here so forgive me

last semester we had a sports branding summit at our school (Texas A&M) and a higher up from Pepsi, Gatorade, Ladainian Tomlinson and the president of the Houston Texans were there with ESPN reporter Jenn Brown as a moderator. the guy from Pepsi said they know they are the secondary brand to coke (he wouldn't ever mention coca cola by name) and they've always tried to market Pepsi the challenger brand as the rebel brand to attract the youth.
