*PHILADELPHIA EAGLES* Official 20-21 Regular Season Thread: WEEK 1 EAGLES vs Football Team 1pm ET

Well Treggs beat the coverage on that one deep ball early in the game, he took a corner and safety with him. He just couldn't locate the ball

Doug is terrible at communicating things to the media. He is publicly babying this dude Agholor, don't get me wrong, football never comes before health whether it be physical or mental, but publicly caping for dude looks bad. He shouldn't be getting a pass for poor play, do what you need to do but don't go out of your way for a player who has given you absolutely nothing. This "emotional intelligence" movement post-chip has gone too far IMO

Excuse my mini rant fellas, what's everyone thinking about how they're handling this Agholor situation?
lack of options right now.. and then as I've seen, it's cheaper to keep him around then to cut him..

but we cant really REALLY address the position til the offseason.. and maybe they hope they can somehow swindle some team to take a flyer on him so they can move the salary

I'm talking even if it's just swapping him for a WR or other player on a non-guaranteed deal or something

but not a fan of over coddling.. I get when some dudes need to be told to relax cause they're just being too hard on themselves.. but this is long past that

but with how crap the position as a whole is, should be going with a ton of 3 TEs

at most go 2 WRs

I don't expect them to cut Nelson right now, I have more of an issue as to how Doug is handling this publicly. He needs to just handle things in house and stop feeding the media with quotes like "I don't want to expose him to anything that would hurt him as a human being".

The thing about Nelson that really frustrates me is that dude can run great routes, but at the point of catch something isnt working

So far I haven't been impressed with Doug as a coach whatsoever, he hasn't adjusted a damn thing since the BYE week , take any coach like Bill , or even Adam Gase bench players who are not performing well .he want to baby these kids & s**t . Wouldn't be surprised if they fired him

I'd give him at least another year.. as of now, he's reminding me too much of andy with some of this stuff (stubbornness, poor situational awareness, lack of in game adjustments and poor clock management)

but he's a rookie coach.. my biggest thing, we have some really good-great coaches on the staff that I would hate to lose

Yea but I'm tired of the Rookie head coach for an excuse, he's been in this situation before . This isn't his first NFL job . It doesn't take a genius to realize when a player isn't playing up to his potential. Giants hit on Cruz because they were willing to give him a chance as a UDFA , Baldwin the same thing . Sit Agholor down until he gain some confidence

A lot of opposing corners have even said that, including Revis last year.

He can make some of the harder catches but loses focus on the easy ones. I think thats where his problem lies, over thinking the catch instead of making the right play

http://www.phillyvoice.com/here-are-24-eagles-drops-65-seconds/

"After watching incomplete passes literally all day (I may need a girlfriend), by my count, the Eagles have dropped 24 passes so far this season, which account for roughly 22 percent of Carson Wentz's incomplete passes. Dropped passes are of course a subjective statistic, so those numbers may vary from others', but here's the final tally:

Dropper Drops
Dorian Green-Beckham 7
Jordan Matthews 6
Darren Sproles 4
Nelson Agholor 3
Trey Burton 2
Zach Ertz 1
Wendell Smallwood 1
TOTAL 24"

Lions and cowboys games hurt.. we deserved to lose to Seahawks and skins

Also Giants game had some dumb stuff

Just be glad vikings are taking Ls.. everything this season is learning.. even if it's learning who deserves to still be around
