I'm guessing Porter -350 to -400. If its anything higher than that, I think it's a mispricing. But based on how everyone is favoring Porter, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being -550.

I'd be VERY shocked if Porter was heavily favored like this. I wouldn't be surprised if Broner was slightly favored to be honest considering the catch weight.. Personally I think Porter wins, but people are sleeping on Broner. This is a much closer fight than people think

Nah I like Broner but Porter is an aggressive fighter he's gonna walk through Broner's punches and do similar to what Maidana did. I'll say Porter by KO 9

GGG by ko 4 if GGG doesn't get a credible opponent for his next match then everyone is ducking him.

I frequent a few of the major boxing forums, and it looks like 29 out of every 30 people think that Porter is just going to walk through Broner. It could be because of their distain towards Broner or they're looking it it from a triangle theory perspective. Porter>Alexander>Maidana>Broner or even easier if you compare both of their performance vs Malignaggi. The odds should be closer if we put the homerism aside. But I doubt Broner will open up as the favorite, he's the more popular of the two but not necessarily for good reason :lol

Gotta check the time slot of those ratings to tell whether or not that reading is true. But, the HBO broadcast team did say if you're going to pay $100 to see a fight this would've been it. So, wouldn't shock me if Canelo was on PPV next time. Hope not, I'm already paying a little more to see him and don't wanna pay a lot more to see him.

While were somewhat on that topic, is Tito the last (and only) non-English speaking PPV superstar?

80 to 1? Best believe I'm putting $100 on willie Monroe Jr. ftw. Let's shock the world :hat

Mayweather/Pac re-run only got 1.1

So not only did they stick around, another 1.3 tuned in for the fight.

Besides, I don't give that much credit for the fight when the general public was told nonstop by the media what a **** fight this was.

Those are huge numbers for a fight no matter how you slice it.

As far as Broner/Porter, the only thing that worries me is the catch weight. Porter has fought at 165 before, dude is going to be drained.

Broner has horrible footwork and horrible head movement. Porter will rough him up worse than Maidana did.

May/Pac definitely boosted the numbers but honestly what a great fight to have follow that re-run. People say boxing is dead and fights like this is what keeps casuals coming back for more. I really think the May/Pac was a shot in the arm for boxing. You had plenty of events TV leading up to that fight and then afterwards they scheduled some great fights.

By the way I hate it when people say boxing is dead because the last few years of boxing have been really great. I think outside of Mayweather and Pacquiao there isn't a personality out there that people can get behind (or hate for that matter).

you think hell do AB the same way he did paulie?

its gonna be interesting. AB is gonna have his hands full. this will be his first real test since maidana

Broner is very flat footed. If he can somehow move a little better and box Porter he can win. If not, it could get ugly

Porter has legit power, even has Paulie accusing him of taking roids cause of how he got mauled. The one guy that broner faced with legit power and rough housing tactics put a beating on him

that dude also had awkward punching style as well

I can see it happening. Brook was tagging Porter with crisp clean shots and Porter kept plowing forward.

That's the main reason I think Broner will have his hands full. Brook has good power and couldn't keep porter from coming, I don't think Broner is gonna keep Porter off him. Plus Porter is awkward.

I actually think Broner has a better chance if he gets off first and brings the fight to Porter, like in those middle rounds in the Maidana fight. That or a good jab and some movement. If he tries to come in doing his best Floyd impression though he's gonna get stomped. Shoulder rolling and waiting for the guy to stop punching before he lets his hands go will get him knocked out vs Porter.

Besides leaping in and rough housing , what is porter good at?
Yeah I agreed. Don't see the hype behind him. After the Paulie fight he's been looking mad suspect.

It's not hype, nobody is hyping up Porter. We're saying styles make fights. Broner showed trouble with Maidana, this is a bigger version of Maidana.

Maidana is bigger than Porter. Maidana is 5'7 and was 160 lbs when he fought Broner.

Porter's muscles are more defined so he looks bigger. Broner sits too much, thinking that shoulder roll is all he needs to slip punches.

Porter will give him problems if he doesn't move around.

If Monroe boxes I wouldn't be surprised if he could pull off the upset

Monroe has the reach advantage
