Lowkey I should of picked any other team then Valor. All gyms around me are Valor. I gotta go out of the way to find other color gyms just to take them down.

Maaannnn. Hatched a 75%IV Charmander out of my 2K. I need a Bulbasaur or Squirtle. I already have an 89%IV Charmeleon.

Most of the gyms on the west side of my town switch between Valor and Instinct. Most of the gyms on the east side switch between Valor and Mystic. I picked Valor because I like Fire-types (and want a shot at Moltres someday, lol).Lowkey I should of picked any other team then Valor. All gyms around me are Valor. man so, i caught a level 8 magikarp.... transferred it back while looking/talking to my girl.... looked down and i accidentally evolved that *****...
level 8XX gyrados with hydropump... immediately transferred him as well.. so salty. i have a level 173 that i was wanting to evolve....

Y'all weren't playing when you said wild Squirtles have some of the worst IVs. I went a month without seeing any, but in the past week I've seen 3, caught two. One is 33% IV (0-0-15) and the other is 42% IV (0-13-6)- both have Attack IVs of ZEROTotally forgot about that! I've been walking with a Squirtle but I don't even have one with IVs over 31%. I found a CP 712 Wartortle, too, and its IVs are similar. I actually caught it with two berries and two normal Pokeballs even though it was the first red-level wild mon I've seen... easier to catch than some Pidgeys and Venonats

There's supposedly a bug in the game where Attack IV is correlated with Pokedex number (#1-9/151) which is why almost all the wild starters you'll find are going to be BASURA. Coincidentally, that's also why it's relatively easy to get an Eevee (Dex#: 133/151) with a dope Atk IV.Originally Posted by rollout

You should probably hatch a Bulbasaur from an egg. If you want a truly beast Venusaur you're going to want to take into account IVs and moveset. CP alone won't be much of a factor once you get to higher tier Pokemon.
