Before Michael Sabbie died behind bars, private jail guards accused him of faking sick

Officer Jeronimo Yanez, the Minnesota policeman who shot and killed Philando Castile during a July 2016 traffic stop, has been acquitted of manslaughter as well as two lesser counts of discharging his weapon. Prosecutors argued that Yanez racially profiled Castile, who was black, while the defense argued that Yanez feared for his life.

Damn that's some cold blooded **** not even a damn manslaughter charge!? Meanwhile some chick was found of the same charge simply by encouraging her BF through text to comit suicide....HOW IN THE ***** HELL!?

In Sacramento we use to get beat up in jail by the guards for no reason at all just cuz we smiled ..I been racial profilled many times as a matter fact they came to my house 10 days after parole was over there excuse my name was still in their system ...no my case might get accepted in supreme court I even got threaten by a public defender at one point lololo he said they will never leave me alone and I better move to a DIFFRENT city ...

Not even surprised, which is a problem.

They still don't get it, civilians have been sentenced for lesser crimes, hell even accidental discharge can get you jail time.
However, if you're a cop you pretty much have all the leeway in the world. Just watch as union politics get you out of any jam. No amount of protesting, looting, rioting, BLM demonstrations, appealing to your gov't officials is going to work. This country has pretty much determined your live doesn't matter.

I'm telling ya this justice system is ****** up. I can't expect the pig to plead guilty. But to expect the public which are sheep to authority in any form, is to expect constant injustice.

I was a juror on a federal case and the way the jurors( probably triple my age) talked/idolized about the FBI officers involved even when it was clearly entrapment, only further proved my theory that the positive image of the militarization of law enforcement is ****** real.

If anything law enforcement workers should get much harsher penalties than regular civilians. These officers were specifically trained to follow and uphold the law, trained about firearms, how to use them, when to use them, ...

A regular civilian is not, but if he were to accidentally discharge his gun in public he'd probably go to jail, 100% if it was a person of color.

If a police officer accidentally discharged their gun in public, ideally they should face a much more severe punishment because they're law enforcement officers and had specific training that is supposed to prevent things like that.

Instead, a police officer can "accidentally discharge" his weapon and even kill an innocent man and walk away with a temporary suspension. It's the police who should be held to a much higher standard and therefore face much harsher punishment for their crimes than ordinary citizens. Not the other way around, turning the police badge into a get of jail card.

It should but sadly it's not going to be, this is the current reality, that's why my life goal is to save up enough money to move out of this country. Cops have been given the right to use whatever force they deem necessary for ages now, it's not going to stop just because you say stop.

"To serve and protect" :hat

I wonder how the world would be without police, they don't come to my neighborhood anyways if you call. Aparantly I live in a really bad neighborhood but I've never had anything bad happen to me. My girlfriend found a dead body and it took them 3 hours to come and get rid of it.

They don't give a damn out here. Dude overdosed and died in a bush and they just show up whenever.

Small communities could do without cops. The people can police themselves if they have established acceptable and unacceptable behavior and how they will punish people for crimes. Large cities are more complicated.

Let me start by saying the police really need to be reformed. Got to get rid of all the bad eggs and there needs to be repercussions for police brutality.

But society literally can't do without cops. Otherwise it's just the wild wild west out there

Yeah or else the weak would just become prey.

Like I live in a big city and a crazy neighborhood where no one calls the cops but we still have police. If people knew they weren't there people would just start wilding out.

As far as policing ourselves we do an alright job. My neighbor keeps our spot locked down. Sits on the porch drinking all day and keeps an eye on everything. He had the whole street blocked off when a crazy crack head was throwing dirty syringes out his window at people. Took hours for the cops to come. :lol

Wasn't it Michigan where that dude shot the girl who stepped on his doorstep asking for help?

What's with people freaking out when other people are on their lawn? If your personal space is that fragile...move to Montana.
