Nothing against you DCAllAfrican for posting this champ, but if you need a “program” just to not commit a crime or worse yet end up in jail then something is wrong with you…….way beyond the implementation of a program.

We have a moral compass problem in our society. And no amount of policing is going to fix that. Theres too many people - both at the top of society and at the economic bottom - that are too easily willing to forgo any moral right or wrong. It’s a recipe for disaster in the long run.
I can’t expect the people struggling to stop criminality when we willingly elect people like Trump into office. We have no standard of character anymore for elected officials and that tone at the top sets a blueprint for what matters to our country.
I live in the Memphis metro area... The kids literally have nothing to do and many of them steal cars just for fun. Will programs fix the problem? No but it sure would help keep some of these kids occupied and out of trouble.Nothing against you DCAllAfrican for posting this champ, but if you need a “program” just to not commit a crime or worse yet end up in jail then something is wrong with you…….way beyond the implementation of a program.
Furthermore, minimum wage salary is way under a livable range, so that results in a lot of people having to working multiple jobs or needing to hustle to live comfortably. I guarantee you that if it got back to parents spending a good amount of time at home while doing honest work then we’ll have some stable kids coming out of that household.I live in the Memphis metro area... There is no reason why two people earning 50k to 60k can't get married and create a stable environment for a child if they live within their means.
That's a combined income of 100k.
IMHO the problem is cultural and societal more than economic.
Our economy was never based on people choosing to become single parents.
Dog I live here, you internet cats love talking to talk. It's 2024, what child do you know goes to the library and church for fun?Very difficult to believe that in a major metropolitan city in America there’s literally NOTHING for kids to do as you refer to. No libraries, no churches with active programs, no recreation centers, no boys and girls clubs……….no nothing. Just a bunch of hopeless niggss stranded and deserted in a state called Tennessee looking around at each other dumbfounded with nothing to do. Yeah okay champ.
Yeah I agree with this. Typically degeneracy is celebrated in the black community. We have a long road ahead. It starts with us tho. Look at the most watched black shows today, they're either depicting black folks as criminals or degenerate sex addicts. Look at the highest selling rappers, aside from 3 or 4, most of their content revolves around murder, sex, and drugs. These are the images being presented to the psyche of the youth everyday, 24/7. Parents legit letting the internet raise their kids. The single mom empowerment movement has been very detrimental to our community but speaking to people about this usually falls on deaf ears. I legit had to tell one of my homegirls to stop speaking ill of her Babyfather in front of her child and her response was "He know his daddy ain't " .. what's crazy is lil man adores his father. Idk man it's sad, I don't know how to fix everything but I do know that focusing on properly raising our youth is fundamental to rebuilding the black community. I was once them lil guys so it saddens me to see just how negligent our community seems to be in regards to the youth. There is no reason why two people earning 50k to 60k can't get married and create a stable environment for a child if they live within their means.

The Mayor himself has stated this same thing verbatim but I guess he lying to? Memphis is a predominantly black, democratic city in a very red state and gets treated as such by the guys in office. Not only that but you people who get in positions of power in the city and only make things worse. Paul Young seems to be on the right track though but he's got a long road ahead because degeneracy is sadly embedded in Memphis culture but I like that he's taken initiative.
This cat really said churches and libraries... You have no idea what you're talking. Stop speaking on shhh you have no connection with. The problem with y'all is y'all don't understand nuance and everything is black and white with yall. I could go deeper but I can tell just from your posts what type of time you own. You internet cats who swear you got all the answers are the worst.

Yeah I miss the OG. So many people have tried to fill his void but haven't come close. One of the few internet personalities who I really rocked with. There's a reason why Kevin Samuels was so impactful.
When accountability is received as "misogyny" and "hate speech" it says more about the hit dogs hollering than the one throwing the stones.
I made it halfway through this sambo talk before I gave up. Not only are being intellectually dishonest but you're always attributing points to me that I didn't make, and am in fact, totally against. Again... You one of them cats that just love to hear yourself talk. What's funny is that if you read my posts you'd see we are on the same side but you saw me say people aren't going to churches and just blacked out. Have a good night my man.Hilarious. Yes I said churches and libraries champ. I see various kids from other ethnic groups go to these institutions daily and weekly. The problem with us………rather folks like you and the rest of the dumbfounded black people in Memphis don’t understand is that we use to utilize these institutions heavily back in the day, but nowadays we don’t. Our kids as a whole are getting lapped by other kids because folks are too concerned with what’s “fun” for kids instead of helping to educate them.
I guess kids making a bunch of dumb videos on YouTube talking about shooting up another neighborhood of black kids that they appear to be beefing with is “FUN” but that’s how OUR kids end up dead before the age of 16 or even in jail with a bunch of felonies on their record. How’s that for fun champ??
Perfect illustration up above on why our kids are dead last. This dude up here worried about what’s FUN instead of disciplining/educating the youth……and we wonder why our kids are voluntarily signing up for jail these days.
