Bingo. I live in NoVa and I know many people that have taken work polygraphs, the people administering them don't really care what you've done, to an extent. They care if it's big enough to make you lie about it. Like a lot of government jobs out here want to make sure there aren't things in your past that people could blackmail you for.

They care if it's big enough to make you lie about it. Like a lot of government jobs out here want to make sure there aren't things in your past that people could blackmail you for.

Yup if its not on the security form you fill out they wont ask you about it. That escort stuff will not be asked about lol. Only people that fail are the ones who have done alot of illegal stuff (foreign ties) or lied.

I just got DQ cause I couldn't pass 4.

1. I have ADD.

2. All the attachments make you feel claustrophobic.

3. Even when I disclosed my record, they still asked about it which made me embarrassed. 

4. Some of the questions are just stupid, i.e., 'have you ever cheated on a test' or 'have you ever disobeyed an authority figure'

5. They fish for answers. If you say no to stealing, they'll respond with 'no candy', 'no illegal downloads' etc.

This was for law enforcement so not sure how the federal would go.

The whole point is to remain calm as possible and don't drink or do things that will get your heart rate up. Don't drink coffee or an energy drink before hand cause that will get the heart pumping and easier to tell if your lying or not. If you can answer those questions without hesitation your good op

If you arent/were a drug dealer or engaged in terrorist activities you have nothing to worry about. Those things you are ashamed of won't be asked. They only ask questions about what is on the SF-86 dont overthink it. And to pass it you do have to admit to the questions they ask. I'm sure you know people with a TS ask them how to pass and you will get the same answer every time.
