Basically this.
A girl I went to high school with got into porn about 6 years back. She received a lot of negative backlash from the jump, but also had a couple of genuinely concerned voices in the mix. She dismissed all of them and told everyone she'd go on "living a rock n' roll lifestyle" (cringe)
Fast forward 4 years and now she's posting videos about the perils of the porn industry and how she regrets putting herself out there like that now that the producers own all of the rights to the content.
Another instance of "it shouldn't be this way, but it is." Gotta live in reality on reality's terms and work towards the change you want to see.

High instances of addiction and depression.
Lots of reports of on scene rapes and assaults during and after shoots. Like a lot of them.

Porn mixes two very sensitive yet powerful dynamics: sex and business/money. It can't help be a toxic, unhealthy environment. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the female actors endured some type of emotional or sexual abuse as children.

When it comes to p0rn style encounters, i go for shock value/bizarre stuff.
