Seems like in America we try to overcompensate for being so timid about sex for decades. It's EXTREMELY unhealthy. And you just named a top reason why. Porn distorts the idea of sexual encounters in real life.
There's also erectile dysfunction in younger males, not being able to last as long in bed, the false ideas of what everyday women should look like, etc...there's tons of research on this stuff.
And then there's the rabbit hole. The more you watch, the deeper you go. As someone else in here stated, that's why incest and rape play is on the rise. Dudes get tired of the normal stuff, and don't receive the same amount of dopamine...so they need something harder. And it just continues.

1. The over consumption of anything is unhealthy. I'd argue the most of the times porn doesn't distort. Why I say this? Well it's a lot of ppl's first interactions w/ sex is porn, and it involuntarily becomes the 1st thing drawn on a blank canvas.
If more educators were educating younger ppl on things about sex (the physical act) then porn. In movies they often pull grenade pens w/ their teeth, you can't do that **** in real life b/c you'd break your teeth.
2. The erectile dysfunction stuff is an self control (and or uneducated) excuse, some ppl have addictive personalities and that's a whole deeper bag.
The false ideas of what a woman looks like is wild tired excuse. I'll even go as far to say that it's misogynistic excuse. The average person doesn't look like your idea of a pornstar. I good example of realism & fakism is Rihanna & Nicki Minaj. Both are very pretty women in the face, but on a day to day basis are u gonna across a woman w/ Rihanna's build, or are you gonna come across a woman w/ Nicki Minaj's sexdoll build?
It's only up to you, me, them not to become engulfed in a fantasy.
3. You're on the money w/ that, but I also think it could be negated. A lot of ppl have mental health issues like anxiety and depression that go over looked or improperly treated causing them reject being social n' stuff. Entertainment media as whole has committed generations of injustice w/ the glamorization of simple things like dating, sex, making friends, high school, etc. We see that at a young age and it ****s use up when our programming malfunctions.

We're not discussing the over compensation of it. We're discussing the act itself. Porn is fantasy. It's not real, it's entertainment. So, if my first encounter with sex is fantasy, then my idea of it is distorted. That's a fact !
And with all due respect, to say the effects of porn do not cause ED is ignorant. This has been proven already. Science says this and men are saying this. Have a look into the NoFap and Semen Retention communities, they all have the exact same stories. This isn't some big conspiracy agenda against the industry. If one is used to using self pleasure, as a means of reaching an orgasm (via fantasy), of course their perfomance will be different in bed. That's a fact !
Now let's look at this last one. Society puts the idea of specific physical traits on a pedestal. Porn, Social Media, Hollywood, etc. As men, we either like or dislike those traits. If a woman does/doesn't have those traits, we treat and react to her differently. And porn reinforces this idea. Porn itself IS misogynistic ! That's a fact !
