I agree, they definitely could’ve taken it the following year. What could’ve been.
Looking back though, I wish the Bulls would’ve taken a different western team since it bugs me that Utah went to the finals 2 times in a row.

One of my favorite things to do when I was like 15-17 was go shoot around in the rain. There was something serene about it for some reason. Like an escape. That's what the smell of wet asphalt reminds me of.

That bulls team the year after they swept Orlando has the 3rd best record in NBA history.
I don't see how that magic squad could beat them after getting swept like that previously.

That year they got swept by the Bulls, they had NO bench. At all. Penny, Shaq, Horace Grant, (3/4 of)Nick Anderson, Dennis Scott and some dudes. This is all hypothetical, but, assuming everything stayed the same except Shaq leaving, the bench would've stronger. The even had the supposed "MJ stopper" Vernon Maxwell.
