I'm in the same boat as you man. Looking to pick up an M3 replica to replace this OEM bumper ASAP! E90Post forums has a few vendors running "specials" right now. I think for a non-M, the M3 rep is THE best front end you can upgrade to.
The best price i found so far was on ebay for around $330 shipped

NOOOOOOBBBBB qustion but just copped a 95 cougar and i NNEEEEEEDDDD GOOD CLEAN powerful sound. what do i do?? spending a few hundred not a g. ideally 300-450 for EVERYTHING  but i can stretch that a little if necessary. please and thank you

How big is the turbo?
Its a Garrett t3/t4 57 trim its gonna be fun learning all this new ish cus ive always been an all motor guy.  my boy has the exact same car and wants a bigger setup so were just gonna park them both, yank the motors n swap everything right on to mine, ofcourse new gaskets n ill do the water pump n timing while its out..  prob start off with 8 lbs. im very conservative, dont wanna just boost it n tear my girl apart.

Are you upgrading the Internals too?

nah im going to just have fun with it because it wont be my daily anymore. Im at 166k right now so ill get my feet wet with what i have right now, then once i throw a rod or something ill rebuild it fully and put some goodies in.  I figure by then ill know which way i wanna go as for power goals and build accordingly.  get some nice cams that complement the set up n so fourth.  I really have no idea what 8lbs will feel like, but i kno i just want a nasty lil street car I can play with here n there

...maybe get it to the track.

clean? get a quality speaker setup inside the car. but i dunno the setup in a 95 cougar as far speaker #, mids, lows, highs, tweeters? For the clean bass, u only need 1, 12inch speaker. for the KNOCK u need either two 10s, or two 12s. but clean sound will come from quality inside the cabin. most of the big names will take care of that.

All the exhaust talk recently had me thinking he meant exhaust instead of audio when he said "powerful sound" :lol

2015 Mustang GT
2015 BMW 435i
2015 Audi A5

My friends is copping a new new. 435i is his initial and frontrunner choice but gets pricey with the options that he wants. A5 is the weakest out of the bunch but hes highly considering it for the good reviews and AWD (main selling point, very high on his priority list of wants). I told him to look into the GT and hes fallen in love (love with the price point as well). MT is a must and $55k is top end budget.

Any other suggestions or comments? Im trying to sway him out of the 435i but hes partial to luxury whips. A5 is a solid choice for the AWD but when you hear 435i and Mustang GT as comparison cars you kinda forget the Audi.

Personally, GT all the way. Aint even tryna add to this V8 talk but that rumble sounds amazing.

Can get a GT premium with leather and performance package which includes 6 piston Brembos for 36-38k. Another 6k in mods and you can be pushing 600whp. Maintenance is no comparison to a BMW or Audi. Unless he wants to badge floss its a no brainer if hes looking for power

What about a 2014 435i xdrive? I'm sure he'd be able to easily find one under 10k miles and he'd still have the awd with xdrive.

He did the builder on the Ford website and all the options he wanted took him to $44k. Basically the starting pricepoint for a 435i :lol. Hes not much of a mod person so the 414 or whatever the GT has should be plenty of power.

Hes gonna practice in my little Si since he doesnt really drive MT on the regular. Not gonna lie, a 435i or A5 woudnt get me jealous, that GT sure as hell would.

Bout to seriously trade my Si in for a 2012-2013 version. How much do those go for nowadays?

tell him to buy a lightly used car. 55k can get him ANYTHING really. The new 5.0 is sex tho if he has no family to worry about
