\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

Why is your friend servicing a 2015 Huracan? How many miles has he already racked up?
Also why is he servicing a Huracan at the same dealership as a Porsche?

If you see my previous post it was a 1200 mile service.

Also if you google "The Auto Gallery", the name of the dealer advertised on my loaner you will see the brands they carry...

He didn't follow break-in procedure at all. His car was torn apart with exhaust, springs and adv.1's before he hit 500 miles. :lol

Yeah that's the calabasas location that you pass by, those guys in there are so bored they will let anyone test drive a ghibli for fun. I literally walked in one day out of boredom and the guy was so stoked he ran to me and started showing me cars and turning them on and revving them.

Yo Wear Rare Airs go ahead and change ya name to Stunt101, b.

Well NT my first car (2001 Lexus RX300) is nearing her final days. Been in and out of the shop wayyyyy to many times over the last 6 months and I just simply wont be able to afford keeping it maintained when I head back down to school in the fall. Right now me and my parents are floating around idea's

Short list at the moment
07-10 ford explore eddie bauer
02-10 Toyota 4runner limited
06 07 08 bmw 3 series

At this point I just want to remain in something stylish thats reliable that's semi decent on gas.

Ive also been thinking about the idea of leasing something.

The offers that lexus has on the IS350 has me like 8o if I could swing that before September it be pretty amazing but thats a long shot but still in the mix

Any tips or advice would be great

The explorer is just ok, the 4runner Limited would be my move in your situation, sure it isn't a BMW or Lexus but it's damn bulletproof. Those cars just don't die, my parents will always have a 4Runner in their garage for this reason, they're on their 3rd one. All had over 100k miles and they lost the first 2 in accidents, no other issues besides that.

I leased an IS350 back in 2006 when literally everyone had imaginary millions as was getting loans, I was 18. By 2009 when I returned the car and the recession was in full effect, I couldn't scrap money together to get a new lease. I went from an 07 IS350 to an 04 BMW M3. I considered it a downgrade because I went from a brand new car with 0 miles to a car with way less features, 60k miles and more outdated. 6 months into owning the BMW I had to perform a 9k repair.

Not saying that's going to happen to you but one thing I won't do is over exert myself for the sake of having a nice car, then again I had to learn the hard way.

if you can't afford to maintain the repairs on a Lexus, you won't be able to on the Bimmer. Just being honest. They're great cars but require more TLC than all your other options.

The 4Runner just like brodie above said is a tank. Point blank period. It'll outlast all your other options with the less amount of attention and care.

The explorer is hit or miss. Ford is notorious for issues in the past, but I don't know much about that gen, so maybe someone else can chime in with experience but I know my family had an explorer and an expedition up until about 2004 and they were always in the shop. Since then Ford has been on my no cop list (except the Mustang)

I would honestly suggest either going with the 4Runner or finding an independent import shop to work on your Lexus.

F150 best selling truck in da world doe fam

I would suggest u get a rav4 its not like thats what u rapped for tho

How do yall deep clean floormats??

I washed mine with the hose and vaccuumed and there is still dirt in there? They are carpet btw

If u get a truck for truck purposes... Get da cummins diesel

Otherwise i think theres a tonnn of nice trucks on the market. F150. Tundra. Tacoma. Canyon. Ett etc

Not gunna find a low mileage 4 runner in the same price range the rest of the vehicles you listed are in. 20k min for like an 08/09. New bodystyle started in 2010 and your talkin 25k min for one of them with low miles... if its limited tack on another 4k to those prices.

Dont buy a 7 yr old beamer

I've never heard any bad things about ADV1, always thought they had some very great designs but it could just be a bad set.....I was driving down HW1 near San Gregorio beach and there was a convoy of 15 Jaguar F-types and 4 458's. :x The sound that those F-types make is something else.

Edit: Congrats on the pickups @HAWAII 5O! Beautiful choice!

Appreciate everybodys feedback and input. Off rip will just taker the 3 series out of the mix because as you guys are right if im complaining about my Lexus being in the shop now then that would probably be 10x worse. The Lexus has been a great first car I couldn't be happier but at this point the money were putting in to it just doesn't make sense. Pretty sure I want to stay in a SUV/truck.

Im back and forth between Chicago, Nashville and Ann Arbor things gonna be on the road a lot 4 runner is probably my top choice at the moment

APC = All Purpose Cleaner. Soak in APC then use a hard bristle brush to lift up all the dirt, then either hose off or take a microfiber towel to clean off dirt
