Saved every penny from my job for two years trying to get one of these. It was my dream car. I finally had enough, test drove it, and it just wasn't exciting nor fast enough. I guess it took so long after saving I just wasn't in to it. I found out about the TBSS and Jeep SRT8 and bought the one I got cash. I don't think I'll ever be into GM again after the Hemi.

Other than the corvettes this is the only modern car I'd drive.

What happened to it?

What about the g8?

I recently just discovered the gxp and thats one of my attainable probably wont ever happen american cars. I thought they were all auto but they are like 35k :x

I'd take the Chevy ss (damn cool looking in person ) over the g8

But I prefer two doors

I sold it to save more money while I'm in school but I deeply regret it. Average cars just aren't for me. The dream car right now is a C6Z or even a C7. I love Vettes but the finances are ready for that yet. I prefer coupes also but I had been looking at G8's for awhile but I'd just rather go for 5th Gen Camaro. They're both basically the same platform and the G8's are holding their value considering how old they are especially the GXP. I also want a man pedal the next go around. Hemi's are cool, I would own one but I've always been a GM guy. Can't help but love the LS motors. My buddy has a Challenger SRT8 coming out of the shop any day now with a fresh turbo. The like the TBSS and GC SRT8 but they are too top heavy for my driving style. The GTO had terrible stock suspension but I had completely redone it. The Chevy SS, which is essentially a face lifted G8, is a nice car but overpriced in my opinion.

Agreed , what do you own now?

:lol yeah sad to see Pontiac go

I wonder how Oldsmobile what have been like if they kept that brand around . They were in to something with that aurora twin cam v8
I love GM, but it really was time to cut off some of the fat and get rid of some brands. At one point they had GMC, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Hummer and Saturn just in North America (hell I could even be missing one :lol), plus they have several overseas ones like Holden. Just too many, they needed to concentrate on making solid vehicles, instead of making 3 or 4 variants of lackluster models.

Thankfully they've turned Cadillac around, Cadillac's were pretty sad in the 90's, and even in the 2000's if you exclude the CTS-V and the Escalade. I'm worried they're gonna **** up the Buick name though if they release a Grand National, because there's no way it'll resemble the original :{ . Even Chevy is looking much better, I know the Camaro isn't everyone's cup of tea looks-wise, but it was about time they resurrected the name and made some cars to compete with Mustangs. Corvette's just keep getting better and better, great bang for the buck performance wise. Would've been cool if they left the Corvette engine configuration alone though, and made a completely new mid-engine car that would be above the Corvette price and performance wise.

They did Oldsmobile dirty, the 90's Cutlasses and Riviera's were a disgrace :x

Agh yes they were done dirty indeed .reminds me of the malaise era :lol

That riviera though :{ :lol

As far as Buick goes with that regal its reminding me of what dodge did with the charger. Yea they have a v6 turbo but those two extra doors ,it's not the same . Car looks good but not the same and its fwd anyway

This the type of stuff that makes me want to make my own damn cars :lol

I agree with you. I feel that GM has done a good job improving across all of their brands so far. I really don't see Buick coming out with a Grand National. To be done properly it should be a coupe, RWD and have a turbo V6 like the one from the CTS and ATS-V. I think it would compete too heavily with the Caddy's and the Camaro if they were to make it right... but I guess they could just go ahead and make it wrong. Lol

What trim were you looking on the camaro?

That Malibu any fun?

2SS with a 6 speed. Malibu fun? Not really. Lol. Fwd, torque steer, turbo lag, soft supension... I feel like a 65 year old man before Viagra was discovered. It's just the opposite of what I loved about the GTO. To be honest it's not a bad car. Not slow, not fast. It's a great daily driver but it's not meant to excite.

Exactly, if they do a Grand National justice, it'll be competing with a couple of their other cars. I have no problem with them making a turbo 4 door buick, but please god, just don't call it a Grand National! If they call it a Regal, I can let that go, because they made 4 door Regals in the past.

Dead serious... I think it's the best looking hatchback on the market besides maybe the Mazda 3... It's got such a distinct styling, and I'm always a sucker for rear hinged doors...
It's not a bad looking hatchback, they definitely could've made the styling more vanilla and boring, but chose not to, so kudos to Hyundai for trying to make a distinctive, sporty looking hatch. I'm more partial to the Focus RS lookswise (and obviously the performance numbers are much better too), but I don't hate how the Veloster looks. The paddle shifters have been fun to play with, even though the car is pretty slow. The interior isn't bad in it, and the big panoramic sunroof is nice too.

And that's my Veloster review. Check in for an indepth review tomorrow after some more seat time :lol

Those Velosters are dope though. Seen one with flat gray paint, it was sick. I think its actually a factory option tok.
Yea I've seen one in that color around here too, pretty cool option, some other car makers should offer that color.

Well of course the Focus RS looks better... It's got a big spoiler in an awesome blue :lol... But it's not on sale yet and not even close to the same market :lol...

I'm assuming you got the non Turbo judging by the slowness....

Very true, 2 completely different segments. If you're in the market for a hatch in the Veloster's price range, it would be difficult to find a better one.

It is the turbo I got, I guess slow is relative. Compared to my G35, it feels slow. You really have to wring out the RPM's to get some decent power out of it, past 5K RPM's it starts moving though. I couldn't imagine the non-turbo version. It's a decent little "hot-pocket" as Andretti would say.

Fellas I ain't looking too hot over here imams I need as much help u can possible get

I'm trying to replace my bearings on my van

I got the axle out and I'm stuck trying to get the bearing out with the slide hammer

It won't move a centimeter and I believe these ***** at oriellys sold me the wrong bearing :{

It's getting dark and I have to make it to work tomorrow

I can provide pics as needed and any help would be appreciated.

Sounds odd, the turbo is probably pretty small. So, it should start spooling way before that.

Mine spools wayyy before that. After its tune of course :D
You should take that thing up to the mountains and see what it can do :hat

Yea that's what I was thinking too, figured it would come on around 3K.

Isnt there a bearing removal tool?
Yes there is

It's basically these two hooks you put over the other side of the bearing attach a sliding hammer onto that

And basically you yank on that this pulling the bearing out

But it ain't budging at all
