I ******* hate shops like thatI feel you man, my 911 didn't come w a backup camera surprisingly. Tbh honest, it didn't really bother me that much but i had some extra cash and took it to a shop to get it installed.
They promised me that it would be a 100% OEM setup using NAVTV, that it would be the same exact thing that I have in my Panamera and would cost 1700.
I spent all day there and they couldn't figure out how to do it. Those dumb ***** already drilled my bumper and ran the wire to behind the head unit (PCM). I told them if you guys can't do it then i'm not paying ****. They tried to charge me for just the camera alone even though the thing doesn't even work. I said okay i'll pay 50 bucks for the camera and you can buy me a new bumper since it has a hole in it now.
They let me keep the camera after that
But my car has a backup camera on it that doesn't even work.
son got finessedSome of these shops man. When I had my 99 at 18 or 19 I learned to never trust a Goodyear shop. My tire ripped on the highway. Was loosing air slowly so I decided to drive to the closest tire shop. I was having a busy day. They made me wait forever in the shop until my tire was completely flat and told me I'm going to need all new tires because "they don't have the exact size of the others plus they had low tread. " $600-700 later I learned my lesson.
Hmm I have a question
Does 100 an hour sound iffy if a shop is doing a diagnosis on your vehicle ?
I have two codes that need to be looked at
That's how my shop (that I go to) is old and new cars the owner races down at the motors ports park and went on the hot rod power tour for the last several yearsLuckily i havent been tricked by a shop shoutout to my dad for teaching me to wrench.
Once took the whip to a shop it was making a noise in the front.
Dude said it was balljoints and would cost 300, so i changed em myself and it wasnt even balljoints.
Turned out it was the hubs so i changed those.
I know one shop thats good af. Dude is trustworthy.
He works on racing transmissions. I always trust shops that actually have experience with racecars and dont have cars sitting outside the shop for months. Dude has a variety of customers from old school muscle to new porsches and sometimes even i saw a mclaren
I'd like to own a garage one day ...
And for the dudes talking about getting a lift, dig a pit in your garage for cheap
This takes away a key benefit of the lift. Being able to park a car underneath another one.
