Nope, DCT.Aint feeling the wheels but looks clean is it a manual?
But after seeing those pics you took, you are going to have to run some kind of spacer more than likely, which shouldn't be a problem with what you're trying to fit.
You mean Trackhawk
This might be the dumbest question ever and I'm sorry for this lol, but is there anything specific you're supposed to do while driving with the DCT? Only time I've ever tried was with an e46 M3 I tried out at a small dealership.
Nope, DCT.
That's SMG in the e46, which is total garbage, not a dual clutch like the E92.This might be the dumbest question ever and I'm sorry for this lol, but is there anything specific you're supposed to do while driving with the DCT? I asked dude if there was anything I needed to do and he said no treat it like an automatic. When I was driving, it kept feeling like it wasn't switching gears and I'd keep revving but going nowhere at random times - slowing down or speeding up.
If that was my fault...my bad

Ah, absolutely right, I forgot.

Way faster, like not even comparable. One clutch has a gear engaged and the 2nd clutch has the next gear in line and ready to go as soon as you tap that paddle. Also rev matches on downshifts which is awesome. As for driving feel, It's really like driving a manual without the 3rd petal. You can feel the clutch engaging when you take off, the car will roll back if you take your foot off the brake at a stop light, it will not shift for you as you approach the redline, if you don't shift, it's going to sit and bounce off the limiter. And it shifts very hard, it will chirp the tires when you shift into 2nd and 3rd gear at WOT. as can be heard during the 2nd to 3rd shift in this video of my car from the first week i got it:Besides speed and responsiveness, how does a DCT differ from a traditional automatic? Im talking driving feel. Does it just shift smoother and faster or something?
6 speed >
nah i just meant in general 7 speeds is better than 6. Performance wise dual clutch transmissions have definitely taken over though, there isn't a debate there.Great post, repped.
And that last statement youre saying its better than a manual? Still a firm believer that nothing can replace an actual clutch and gears to row through.
Bro my best advice would be to get a set of 3 and 5mm spacers, then try to find a used 275/30 tire throw it on one wheel and see how it fits. When I first test fitted mine they hit in the same spot and I freaked out, so I walked in my garage, got my 5mm spacer and threw it on and BOOM it fit perfectly. You aren't trying to slam the car so you will be fine I promise.
this idiot musta gave me the wrong offsets. Unless the clearance gets better when the suspension isn't hanging
Did you have it in manual mode? If you do then you have to use the paddle shifters or the shifter to change the gears.

Took a bit longer than planned, but the dream has been realized. Will have to snap pics for NT. Mom is very happy to say the least and loves her new car!Wanted to share with NT, hard work pays off. My plan coming to fruition. Surprising Mom with a new Lexus RX 350 to end 2014. For all the hard work and sacrifice.
