I didnt even know NT had a car thread. Dope cars everyone! My Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio

Looks boss af & it's black :pimp: . Stick around- this thread has some insane rides with equally insane owners lol. Btw how would you describe the reliability on these? Only reason I ask is because I've heard & read so much on Alfa as a brand & their products being a nightmare in terms of reliability & longevity.

Sold my mustang this past weekend 😭 I’m gonna miss the noise and driving a manual for sure.

58k miles but the last 3 years I drove it less than zmaqbool zmaqbool challenger 😂
   👊. I don't know if that's even possible to drive anything less than my Chally 🤣. Why'd you sell the beast- any regrets? And what's the next toy- an exotic? :nerd:

First off, the dealer is marking it up well above the "AMV" they show. If the "market selling price is the MSRP, then why do they have "freight" for $1,095! D&D is part of the MSRP bottom number. So they're actually marking it up more. Just another reason why I hate how some dealerships operate.

That being said, to ask them for $6K off their bottom line price, in the current market? Come on. I was always on my customer's side but when someone would come in and ask a ridiculous about off, I won't even ask my boss as I know it's not feasible or possible. That's just silly to ask that. You'll have to find a pre-owned one or just wait it out for a while (and while I mean the rest of the year into next year).

What's a reasonable price to ask off in your opinion?

If I could afford one of these high end foreign SUVs, this would be it. Nice ride.
Thanks!

This is my 2nd Stelvio. The first one was the 4 banger 2l model. Abosultely no problems with that one. Liked it so much I had to upgrade to the high HP trim. Same, no issues at all. Alfa hasn't been able to shake its reliability reputation from the 80s/90s. When they first came back to the states with the Giulia/Stelvio, some issues were reported as is common with most 1st year model cars.

From being in several Alfa groups, message boards it is certain that most of the issues reported are caused by poor transportation practices by Alfa. On its voyage to the states from Italy, the battery posts arent well protected and may lead to slight corrosion. Which in turn leads to random CEL. Giulias/Stelvios in Europe do not suffer from this. In short, if anyone gets an Alfa. Get the battery posts cleaned and or a new battery and you will not have any more issues than any other Euro car.

Didnt know there was a car thread? You been missing out. We got everything in here, wait til you see the lowered 02 CRV’s with built in hookahs, the 2jz engines with overnight parts from Japan, Infiniti Q50s slammed with underbody neon all with NY license plates, Civics with Motec exhausts that Hector hooked it up with, V6 Challengers with Hellcat badges, and the owners with the gorgeous C8 Vettes, the most well proportioned exotic ever.

haha nice!!! I'm lightly modded now with a piggyback tune. I've been researching on swapping in some hybrid turbos. From others before me, the engine can handle it.

I asked to bring it down to 32k and they looked at me like I was crazy

"You want 6k off?!?!????!"

Me: " uhhhhh yea"

The MSRP is $31k, then you add the $2k tax, you are at $33k. You asked them to sell it to you for $32k out the door.

Do you realize why they looked at you like you were crazy.

Na I asked 32 pre tax.

Oh ok, that's $4k off the asking price. That's not unreasonable and I would think the dealer would counter at $36k, rather than look at you like you were crazy.

I guess this is the state of the market. I did hear from a friend that works at Honda that customers paying $6k over MSRP is the norm and the cars are all sold before they even hit the lot.

sick, always liked these since they came out, wish they offered a bigger version tho

Look at the Maserati Grecale, slightly bigger, built on the same Giorgio platform. So the handling should be A+ as well. Also, the Grecale has a bit more power, it uses a detuned MC20 engine, that one pushes 620+hp. IIRC the Grecale is detuned to only 530hp.

Didnt even know Maserati had another SUV. Looked up the Grecale and man....it looks so goofy in the front. :lol Doesnt look aggressive or sharp, sporty, looks “soft”. Headlight design contributes to that alot.

Levante looks a tom better.

Everything is too expensive right now but I think eventually I’ll get a GT350R. I wouldn’t spend more than $150k for a car so exotics are out of the question for me.
Not the moostang! How much you get for it? Lowkey thinking of getting something newer again

I got $39k for it

No doubt! Only good thing is the engine. Looks like the Ford Puma.

Between the AMV being $3K and the "freight" being $1,095, which the freight is already added in the price of the car ON THE STICKER from Honda. Dealer is double dipping), they are asking $4K over (not including that extra protection package thing or whatever it was) I'd try to get $2K off of that markup. They won't take the entire markup off, they just won't. To them, there is no need to. If you don't buy it someone will.

It's sadly the state of auto sales right now. I'm incredibly thankful that I'll be able to order my Maverick from my old job for X-Plan (which is basically invoice). I wish the market wasn't this hard to get vehicles at good prices, but it is what it is. No different than the housing market. People are getting offered more than their asking price to sell.

I got a neighbor who's wife just passed.

He's selling a 2010 BMW 750LI and he took it to carmax to try and sell it but they only offered him 8K.

Dude is a doctor and he's always taken great care of it and it has 82K on the dash.

He will sell it to me for that 8K and I'm debating it.

Am I crazy or nah? I've never owned a BMW so what am I looking at in maintenance?

From what I hear maintenance is the #1 reason people run from Beemers or just about any luxury German brand especially when nearing end of warranty. If the dude took care of it like you said it should be mechanically sound. I'd say buy it & down the line if you want you can flip it.
