I mean it’s not going to be a corolla but the engines and transmissions don’t explode either.
It might depending on which one. Was looking at RS7/S6s for a while and that turbo failure was almost a certainty. Not the worst, most expensive issue, you could fix or upgrade turbos but not cheap either. Even if you missed that you had to consider the 4k brake job if you got the ceramic. Again not the worst for performance cars but a beast for someone who isn't aware or prepared for it.

Oh yeah there’s certain models to avoid for sure. I was talking the 4.2 v8 specifically.

4k for brakes is insane.

Sq5 has been one of the more reliable vehicles we’ve had. Knock on wood*

Two water pumps but warranty covered it and I think the dealer f’ed up the first replacement and won’t own up to it and that’s been the only issue.

yeah i think this was the golden age of audi design in recent times compared to what they are putting out now IMO
the a7 of this generation was also a banger
First gen A7/S7 looks better than the current second gen A7/S7.

The new ones lack presence. Just lost in the sauce.

And in China they have a stretched version which looks like a Passat

I’m mad at the for putting fake exhaust tips on cars. I’m about to cancel the whole brand for that garbage.

ttrs and sq8 are nasty to me still.

What's with German cars and water pumps failing prematurely. BMWs are notorious for that.

Gti is pretty dialed now for reliability except the damn water pump.

No other vw interests me though but the amorok which is just a cool ranger.

Sometimes I wish I didn't tell people I knew about cars. Former coworker wants me to help him change his brake calipers tomorrow. Kept in touch with him since I left so not a random. If it was summer I wouldn't mind but it's winter and cold out.

Bro said bmw gave the Supra the older engine?? It got the b58 all the 2022 bmws got it
Just going to place this here for you. Older engine.
The BMW B58 is a turbocharged straight-six engine, which began production in 2015.[1] The B58 replaced the N55 and was launched in the F30 340i.[2]

The B58 is part of BMW's new modular engine family, each engine using a displacement of 500 cc (30.5 cu in) per cylinder, following the B38 and B48 engine.[3]

The B58 engine was named to Ward's World's 10 Best Engines 4 times, in 2016 (installed in the 340i),[4] 2017 (M240i),[5] 2019 (X5)[6] and 2020(M340i).[7]

The S58 engine, which was released in early 2019, is the high-performance version of the B58.[8][9]

Toyota should have pushed for S58 engine, a newer engine but what do I know.

The S58 would substantially increase the cost over the B58.

Also it sounds like the S58 is coming to a new top of the line model.

I've always wanted one of these rs5s with the v8 and a stick

Wife A4 in the background, eventually traded it in for a Jeep Grand Cherokee

Driving home, coming around a cloverleaf, merging onto the off-ramp. Two kids street racing, I wasn't worried. It was a three-lane road, and they were getting busy in the far left lanes. I get into my lane, and one switches lanes and hits the car next to me, she crashes into me pushing me into the cement wall. One of the cars racing, Camaro spins around and crashes into me. Came to a stop axle broke off, and the tire was sitting outward face down under my car.

Called my father in law since we just had dinner and is a county EMT. Cops eventually showed up and one talking to me was a ***. Kept accusing me of racing because I only had one shoe on and a Nike slide on. I said I don't drive in my shoes, because I don't want to mess up the heel. He brought it up again about 20 minutes later. Eventually told him if I was racing that Camaro I wouldn't be here, I would have beaten him. We were done talking at that point, gave me my paperwork on when the kid racing's hearing is if I want to go. Let me go home.

I had the car for literally 7 months, and 4 days, I tore my rotator cuff in the accident and had to get surgery. Once insurance totaled, the car bought my Tundra. We were expecting our first and figured get more space.

Agreed. I’m just happy both are here tbh. Glad to see Nissan stick it through. I know the Supra isn’t all Toyota but it’s fantastic. Agreed on the Nismo.

Lucky to have chatted with Tamura san a few times over the year….

Mike is a cool dude, met him at SEMA 2019. I was walking past the Vossen booth inside, taking pictures. He commented on my Vapormax and how comfortable they are. Talked a little bit and invited me out to their pop-up shop they were holding at a local hotel.

That year there were so many Supra there, don't quote me but I think there were 19 different ones on display. At the time quickest way to get your car inside was to have a Supra. I missed SEMA these past couple of years but, definitely want to go back this year. So many ideas and trends to borrow from and use.

I see lots of broncos now. They’re growing on me.

It snowed like 15 inches Quattro + cross climate 2 tires was a good combo. We are the only house on the block that can get into our alley.

The irony is we were the only ones willing to throw down on snow removal service for the alley.

That means you can park in anyone's driveway you want. LMAO.

Only M engines will come with the S code in front s14 s54 s65 s85 s55 s58 etc
