really no experience on bikes, so wanted to start here. YouTube has helped tho, got her to the 4th floor of my parking garage so far

Congrats on the new bike! MSF is a great way to start. Better to learn the right way than to try and fix bad habits later on.

250 is ez. Practice your downshifting and only use your rear break if you have to in a turn.
By all means take the course, but according to your state you could be waiting months.

Def a wait on the courses. My scheduled date is 6/27-28.

I’ve been riding all through the city, and with a few riders in my complex so I’m learning as I go. Quicker than I expected fasho. I’m hittin the DMV later today for the permit

Any of all successfully revived a dead battery with a battery tender? The battery was barely used and a year old but forgot to charge/unplug over the fall/winter.

I’ve done that. I live in a pretty cold state during the winter so my bike is usually on the tender for months at a time. I’ve also forgotten to plug it up at times and needed the tender for a recharge. Trust me the tender works.

How long did you ride before you felt comfortable riding a liter bike?

Bike sexy as hell.

I hate black wheels though, they're so boring. Bike should have red or matching grey wheels.

I really don't know why the bike industry doesn't have more colorful wheels. The first thing people say to me about my bike is they love the orange wheels. Black is way too boring. Ducati, Honda,Yamaha, Kawasaki all need to switch it up.

IVE BEEN RIDING SINCE 2009. THIS IS MY FIRST LITER BIKE. IVE HAD A FEW CBR 600, DUCATI STREETFIGHTER 848 AND DUCATI 899 BEFORE THIS ONE. I WOULD SAY AFTER I TOOK THE CLASS AND BOUGHT MY FIRST BIKE (A 600), I WOULD OF BEEN COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO RIDE A LITER AFTER A YEAR AND A HALF. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT THOUGH.

Passed the MSF a few weeks ago. Got my endorsement. Copped this 2010 Zx6r, then sold my 250r.

I felt like I learned more on my own than I did in the class, given I had months in between the class scheduling. Still not a waste of time, locked down some fundamentals and now have a few more folks to ride out with.
