Dropped my bike, bend my clutch lever. Just gonna cut it off for now but does anyone have any recommendations for a bars/levers for a sumo? Rumble Rumble

I was waiting to drop it to replace them anyways. Everything else is protected.

I love the pro taper CR high bars. But I’m a tall dude with Long arms. I run them on my KTM and most of my Derbis.
And just like MakeNTGreatAgain MakeNTGreatAgain mentioned, get some bark busters. I think Cyrca and Acerbis make supermoto specific applications if that’s a big deal to you.

Not sure if anyone is into the track and professional series we have here in the US. I’ll be at MotoAmerica next weekend at Laguna Seca since it’s down the street. I think I’ll be there all three days since it’s so dang cheap this year. I’ll be sure to snag some pictures.

cop da asv levers if you want ones that will bend the opposte way when u drop the bike

or go on rockymountain atv and cop a cheapie clutch lever they have pro taper ones for under 10 bucks sometimes

this is what i run on my dirt bike to protect from falls

thanks bruh, I might just cop some cheap ones and spend the money on bark busters and bars.

I’m gonna look into those because I’m not tall but I feel pretty cramped in my arms sometimes on my bike so I might like them anyways.

I don’t know why I’ve always stuck to pro taper bars. I don’t have any reasoning behind it other than my buddy who got me into riding them also lives by them.

I would also second ASV levers AFTER you replace the handle bars. Super good reason for you to also swap out both while your at it. For street riding I never mind the shorties, but longer levers are my preference once I hit dirt.

I was just going to swap it all at once. So far I got the bars you suggested, some clamp on pro taper grips, 7/8-1 1/8 adapter and was thinking just a pro taper aof lever.

the ASV levers look better for sure but I’m not really trying to drop 500 bucks on bars and levers…

I’ll get some hand guards too so I don’t bend a lever again tomorrow.

how’s riding going man? You happy with the bike?
Yo my bad I'm just catching up on the thread.
The next day I ended up taking a ride on it around the neighborhood and accidently popped a wheelie and parked it up for a couple weeks 😅. I have been riding it around a couple times a week and I have gotten real confident! Can't wait for the next big Rideout missed the last one in SF😔

Are you part of BASM? I really wanted to make that meet but my best steed is down.

man I almost looped my bike too but it doesn’t have the power to “accidentally” do it. :lol

keep riding man, I’m brand new too but a few months later it’s a world of difference for me for sure.

dude, I had to talk my wife out of getting a husky fe 350 today.

“they said they’ll convert it to a sumo for 1,500 bucks”

i’m like that’s great and all but you probably shouldn’t drop 15 racks on your first bike.

she’s going to keep looking for a klx or crf, both are impossible to find.

i looped my bike on a trail about a month ago. it was like an uphill stream that was dry and man. had my rolling down a hill :lol thought i was finna die

That would suck man. Rolling down a dry creek.

I was practicing popping the front wheel up like a foot and idk what I did but I hit the perfect combo of clutch and throttle and it went up way higher than I was expecting.

Uglybros arrived! Aside from being a bit too long (my fault for being a shorter guy lol) these things are AMAZING....somehow eventhough they are pretty heavy they are breathable and the pockets for the padding is pretty genius

Those are dope, is there a little stretch to the actual denim? I don’t skip leg day so jeans can be hard for me to find. I might have to grab a pair. :pimp:

I got some gear today too. I was questioning this hoodies protection level but it’s actually pretty legit. Level 1 armor in the elbows and shoulders and I threw a level 2 back protector in.

I wouldn’t wear it to go super hard but for my ride to work under 50 the whole way it’s cool.

I stood true to size, usually wear a 31-32 in pants from Zara and these actually fit a tiny bit on the smaller size at the waist, not much tho, plenty of stretch along the legs and hood length if you are at least 5’10

When I get a chance I’ll snap some good pics of them on so ya can judge the fit and look, I thought about getting them tailored to shorten them, but I think I’ll just cuff them for now.

Damn bros, she went down today :lol I guess the saying is true, “is not IF you’ll go down, is WHEN you’ll go down” 😰

lukily aside from a scuff on my tailpipe and the end of my break lever breaking, she made it out ok....btw they really put plastic levers on a 14k bike? 🤔

YUP.

HOPE YOU ARE OK MAN. EVERYONE WILL GO DOWN AT LEAST ONCE. IVE BEEN DOWN THREE TIMES. FUNNY HOW EACH TIME IT HAPPENED ON ALL MY DUCATIS EXCEPT MY CURRENT ONE. NEVER TOOK A FALL ON ANY OF THE HONDAS I HAVE OWNED.

OH, AND DO A SEARCH ON DUCATI PANIGALE V4 REAR VIEW MIRRORS TO READ THE CHEAPNESS OF THEM AND THE HORROR STORIES. I HAVE A $35K BIKE WITH BASICALLY STYROFOAM MIRRORS. I HAVE BROKEN MINE ON TWO OCCASISONS SIMPLY BY BRUSHING MY ARM AGAINST THEM. IM NOT KIDDING.
