Post Your New Eras*59-Fiftys*etc... VOL. INFINITY NOW W/ Henz0/Thunderchunk/Icy's FAQ ON PG.1

I hate patches so much

only one ive ever liked was the OG 9/11 flag

wish they would go back to making those and not the new plastic crap  so damn clean. I need a tigers one

I dont mind patches, but i do think its being oversaturated

also i cant buy a patch of a team that lost the game, I'm a mets fan and I will never wear a patch of a world series we lost lol

They don’t know/care when they’ve struck gold and to just stick with it.
Decent article above. I provided some more detailed photos here (as sports logos assumed the first flag was similar to the second run).

first 2002-2007 run had this more abstract look

11-14 a bit of a cross hatch look

15-17 the beginning of the rubberized chrome crap

and the latest. Rubberized overkill. You already have a batterman on the back of the hat. Why two places

I want to say I own 7 side patch hats. I think the biggest deterrent is the size of the patches. They’re overkill and take away from the front of the cap (atleast 90% of the reproductions seem way too big).

My favorite is probably the first one. It was smaller in dimensions than the 2013, although I like that star design better. Wools are hard to find as is, let alone a 9/11 flagged cap. The 11-14 run may be someone’s best bet.

I'm a fan of patches too just not the rubberized ones.

I never really considered or noticed the sizing of them, but now that I've seen this Pirates from Diallo, the patch is OD. Way way way too big.

Lol patches been synonymous with fitteds for so long in NY that i'm used to it. More than often you'll see a fitted with a patch instead of without. But I agree, not a fan of the rubber either.

I think ‘95 was the first year for ws patches, so it’s kind of cool to see a blue jays hat from 1993 with the ws patch, likewise with many years prior. Most of these patches were either on the jersey sleeve or only used in promo material.

If anything they’ve done right is how these patches are applied. I hate the glued on ‘accurate’ patches.

The customs appear to mostly be stitched into the side of a hat. It looks much more professional imho

I feel those really took Off ib the NY area because of the Yankees being in all those World Series year after year. They expanded from on field accuracy to a whole bunch of what ifs going back to the 20s, and then everything in between.

The detail and application of the patches are great. It’s just it seems like they use jersey patches and throw them on the hat. So they’re just way too big usually

I’m more for historical accuracy.
Let me see a 93 ws patch on the jersey, like the players wore, but not a cap. It’s kind of cool to see but not something I would ever buy.

wish I could find the means to post all these up in one shot. Pretty much a random assortment of my backup wahoos. I wear about 40, and these are their backups ready for rotation.

Yeah he said a few of them are customs and didn't come out.

I might take a pic, depends on how lazy I'm feeling. I got like 40-50 Yankees ON FIELDS with the patches.
