whats the country of origin/material breakdown? I'm seeing a tad bit of fuzz on the crown. Good sign. Is it of higher quality materials since it retails for 65?---

A made in USA HC custom from a few years back
1934 Detroit tigers
Tonal side flag. No batterman. Green under. Black guts. Made in USA (with imported materials).
And a small side by side with a recent 1934 tigers pickup.
A totally inferior product all around. Raised logo is a tad tacky. Bangladesh non fuzz wool, with a tonal side flag, double box batterman, and a grey under. White guts though
A true fuzz makes it hard to see the diagonal pattern of the material. It's clearly visible on the recent release. Not so much on the fuzzy caps.

It’s 100% wool and made in China. High crown but it doesn’t look high to me when worn. Quality is good as well.

I’m so used to things not coming to my city that I didn’t know they dropped here last week. Picked up the black from one of the retailers here on the weekend and cancelled my Champs order.
From a QC standpoint these hats were made terribly. They seem flimsy and not as heavy, thick as the usual 5950's. Made in China is bad right? because my normal size was too big and I had to size down and try on a bunch of different ones to get a normal fit. And the white stitching between the crown and brim is so visible I had to pick one that wasn't as bad.

I’ll take Made in China over Bangladesh any day. Looks like typical NE QC issues though.

. If there's a pecking order, it has to be china, Bangladesh; and then all of the rest. China is the new USA. And if you thought that this quality is bad, you're in for a treat with the other countries. On these other groups and stuff, No one talks about the quality. For $120 resell, are these caps even being worn? Collect and flip all you want but wearing some of these caps is absolutely atrocious. If it's not weird stitching, it's a flat out uncomfortable ill fitting hat.
The threads popping out from the crown and bill is common with made in China. They used to use white threads so it was much more obvious. Bangladesh don't appear to have this issue but I would honestly take china wool over anything Bangladesh. Pick your battles though.
Maybe you're used to Bangladesh poly? It's stiffer and has an appearance of being more sturdy.
That seems to be the dominant combo for on fields and other customs.
Right now inho, china wool is the best combo out there getting closest to American wool. Second would be china poly then Bangladesh wool, and fourth Bangladesh poly.

Was going through old boxes and found this, which is fitting for this season with the Field of Dreams game happening. This one's still in really good shape with almost no yellowing. Any of the experts know what year this is from?
I've always loved that the Sox have been doing retro unis for years and years now. Can't remember what year this one was, but my first ever online purchase was a 1917 White Sox retro new era cap (not this one) as a kid about 20+ years ago from hatworld.com which came with a bill curver lol

Yeah luckily one of the homies held me down with size and price lol. Even at retail it was still less than USD + shipping + reshipping prices.

Sometimes Bangladesh will have a more shallow fit and sometimes China will have a boxer crown for me. China has gotten heaps better for surein terms of for compared to 10 years ago. It's different for me also because I’ll see a whole size run come in and I’m able to find which hat fits the best.
In regards to wool, NE went up a $1 on all wool hats, reason you don't see many customs utilizing the wool. That's in addition to NE prices going up as well. I went with wool with this floral Sox I have coming. Grey UV.

2006. Likely worn as alternates. They were truly one of the first teams to continually have TBTC style uniforms to where it became the norm. I think the Brewers also introduced their royal blue ball in glove. So both of those do come back as authentic collection on field hats. Speaking of price increases, just saw hatheaven increase everything of theirs 20% (from $40 to $44). I could see if new inventory had higher prices, but changing prices on currently available items leaves a sour taste in my mouth. With that, I'll look to places like snipes or Hatland or billioncreation who haven't quite raised their prices.
Good to know wool is a dollar more per cap to create. I honestly can't even tell the different between Bangladesh wool and Bangladesh poly, so it's a bit of a wash there. Both lack that true fuzz. Ty, can you specify to NE where you want the caps made?
