ear cropping doesn't even serve a legitimate purpose... purely for cosmetic reasons. I work at a vet and in the greater Austin area I know its real hard to even find a vet that would even consider cropping ears or docking tails...its unethical for ANY breed. Obviously you didn't do your research well because id you did you would see there is no benefit.....your vet or any other vet should have their practice closed and license taken away..... If the ears were in need of a crop due to health reasons, yea sure.....but solely because you don't like how he was born with floppy ears? Im sorry but that is how the dog was born.......consider a different breed if you want virtually no ears. With the ears being cut so low they could face several other medical issues, hearing loss, ear infections.....the list goes on. Pitbulls already have a stigma of being the "agressive-tempermental" type why add to it with this image your trying to upkeep.

ps. there is nothing wrong with feeding your pet pedigree or any other food sold at petsmart or petco.......as long as it isnt raw meat and eggs.

Just for your Info a raw diet is the best thing to feed your dog , bagged dog food has a lot of filler and useless ingredients dogs are carnivores and dontneed grains. As far as cropped ears go its your call I had it done once but the guys sis a hack job so i never got it done again . But I have no problems withit . Docking tails depends on the breed

Ok, I was going to step away from this post and not reply to anything regarding my pups crops. But then i read the sillllyyy things thatBeautifulLoveLeal said. First and formost you shoulda read what mfresh had to say. Because it about sums up everything.

Get the raw food from your local pet food store...they should have bags of them frozen in patties. No additives/preservatives and the puppies love them.

Way better than bagged kibble.

We are naturually born with elephant trunks. i guess that is what God wants right.......? butpeople still chop those off. is it wrong? no. does it make them look more agressive? no. but it is a preference of many people. and people have accepted that.it's almost a custom now. just another form of "cropping"

question, cant mostly all breeds, except maybe the beagles with the long ears. Move their ears upward when they WANT to hear? having short cropped ears 24/7 byCHOICE, seems to neglect the dogs choice for choosing what to hear and when.

my dog will lift its ears like satelitte dishes when it hears something. most of hte time, they are down and floppy.

smh, dude gets called out about his dog and resorts to name calling? way to be mature. i wasn't even about to say anything either. she wasn't lyingmost vets wont crop ears anymore and alot of breeders wont touch it either. if i remember correctly i think it might even be banned in the UK. your doglooked better with his ears, now it just looks like something ate them off.
