I very rarely use slices of bread for PB&J, I use bagels. If you want it toasted do what I do and just toast the bagel slices in a regular toaster and put on the PB&J after it cools a little.

For PB I put the two slices of bread together in one, toast it, spread the pb on the inside that's still soft, put it back together, and toast it again. To keep the PB from draining out the bottom just pinch/press the ends together and you good to go

Bout to make that right now.

What you are trying to do is make a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

No. Strictly toast and no ******g jelly. If I wanted to grill it I'd grill it, thing is I'd have to use less PB when I toast it I can use a lot more.
