POWER THREAD (Sun., Starz)

I'm curious to see whats next for Rainey. as an actor. I think it's time he expands from the mischievous youth roles and starts developing his range.

Effie gave Caine that bag is comedy.

All the designer clothes he wears, Monet for sure having a stash of money, and he driving a Range Rover on the regular

Effie hold this L. Don’t cry about wanting to leave the game.

This made zero sense at all. It really made effie look hella weak and whipped. And he gave her absolutely nothing in return

But again……#becausePower

Cane paid for her to go to school
He gave her that d...........

IMO she was already a strong character bc of her background but you introduce tariq & then cane into her life and she became very vulnerable and sobby. It was almost like watching her downfall. Yes, im getting wayy too deep into character development (or not) but that is my ultimate takeaway from that last scene

Nah you right, that’s been the recurring issue with the writing  Every single character, absolutely zero growth, negative growth even.

When he was on The Breakfast Club, he said he had a horror movie with him and Chloe Bailey coming out.

Finally caught up and man they should’ve stopped this ish after the first season.

Who caught more bodies Monet Wick or *** naked Dre Wick?

I’m honestly more upset that more people didn’t die because all that shooting and only Cane gets grazed in the end?

Aim assist must’ve been on for all of the Tejadas the whole season

I’m still confused how Waterhead is even in school after all the bodies, drugs and other ish he’s literally been involved with. Also what was the point of still being in school after he lost the trust and Tasha was already a “free” woman?

Like everyone else brought up, not sure how any of them were able to work together with so much plotting against everybody except wee bray and Waterhead.

Season was all over the place, from the wardrobe, the shooting scenes, the acting to the script. I felt lost a lot of times and agree it dragged on when I did pay attention

Really feel like we wasted 4 years on this bs :smh:

Michael Ealy must have had in his contract he couldn't die.

Mary changing her clothes to get killed  She wanted her opps to be distracted by her fit.

The show was so random. Having Effie's mom come asking for money out of the blue. Just a wasted scene.

Braden's crackhead girlfriend. Why? It was pointless to even add her.

But I have to admit, I missed laughing at this show this weekend.

I’ll give them bail for the Effie mother scene. It helped show why Effie tried to move like a dude but deep down wanted someone to protect her. Also helps establish why she goes back to working for Tariq in the end. That unresolved trauma got her in a chokehold.

He the new 2-bit

Watch he show up in the Chi trying to take Tommy and Waterhead down.

Speaking of 2-bit, how he get his whip stolen and don’t even go after the lil ***** he took it from in the first place. That setup was horrible and then never even circling back was worse
