Precious Trailer (Based on "Push") - Nov. 5

But like... the circumstances surrounding the lives of these character are a combination of the most unbelievable circumstances one could imagine. ALL placed within this film for the sake of tear jerking. I don't have the heart of a killer. I'm sure the movie would hit a nerve and I'd have some sort of emotional reaction to at least one situation presented. But a film like this is almost like comedies that go for the cheap laugh. It appears to be unintelligent and unimaginative.

I'll wait until one of my relatives cop from their local bootlegger.

Man, I know it's human nature and all.... But it's frustrating when people judge a book by it's cover. "ALL placed within thisfilm for the sake of tear jerking".

Come on man. Watch the flick before going THAT far with the criticism.

Me personally, I didn't want to see this flick at all. Shorty was dying to see it though so we made a compromise. And I'm happy to say it wasn't asbad as I thought it would be.

I agree that the cut scenes were a bit jarring/out of place (though the one they did in Spanish was pretty funny). I guess I got tired of seeing her lightskin, wavy hair boy-toy.

But other than that, the STRONG performances (Monique, Mariah, Precious, Ms Rain) were captivating enough to carry the film. Especially Monique.

It wasn't even that bad of a tear-jerker. I didn't feel the urge to cry or get choked up at all. I think the part that the audience got quiet/emotionalover was the part where Precious was in class and wrote "why me?" in her book. (People who saw the flick will know what I'm talking about).

Overall, it's not the type of flick I'd spend money to go see. I'm more of an action/adventure movie guy. But the movie was a good story.

Funny and/or positive parts:
- Naming the child Mongloid
- Paula Patton

I think it's kind of ironic that the only thing some folks took away from this movie is how attractive some of the non-main characters are. I mean, of allmovies..THIS one.

I saw the movie 2 weeks ago and thought it was alright. Nothing to epic in this film the previews already gave you a brief synopsis of what the movie wasabout.

But the Jamaican girl was hilarious, The one girl who wanted to be a video model was funny also (she's from a mini series on HBO called "Shades ofBrooklyn")

The scene when Precious brought her 3 day old baby home for the first time and Monique wanted to hold it you new something crazy was about to happen i thinkthe whole theater looked away at that point during the film. i give the movie 7 out of 10.
