PS3 - Call of Duty: Black Ops - Official Thread - Season 1 Belongs to Team 8. CHAMPIONS!

One thing that I realized about playing good players is that it's impossible to take them by surprise, and it's suicide to spawn rush solo.  And it's suicide to run the same route more than twice in a row.

Once I realized that I've been doing better in general against randoms.

NT is a different beast because not only are you guys all good but you guys have mikes and talk to each other.  But I'll try and jump in another NT game soon.

Well, it can't really be done easily. For one, you are unable to simply take gameplay and throw it onto your computer. If you want to do it right (ex: not holding a camcorder up to your tv while you run the game back), you need a capture card or an HD PVR.

I bought a Hauppauge HD PVR last May, and it is one of the best ways to record video game play. It was $239 CAD, and can be found for cheaper now.

There are also cheaper Standard definition capture cards by Hauppauge or Dazzle that you can use to capture gameplay.

From there you need a video editing program (I use Sony Vegas 8 ) to add your audio commentary track to the gameplay.

Then you render it in whatever format (I use WMV I'm pretty sure, 30 fps, 720p), and then you can upload to Youtube, Vimeo, etc.

Here's a link to my channel for an example of what the Hauppauge HD PVR record quality is:

Thanks, I think with this extra xmas cash, I will pick up a PVR soon. Newegg got em going for 189

I guess that may be worth it if you can also copy movies you rent from redbox and stuff like that (Not just to post gameplay online).

I might have to invest in one of those

Don't get me started on the Xmas noobs. Dudes were consistently putting in 3-15  performances.

I dont think I even seen a noob on my team with even 3 kills. Mostly I see 0-13+

I seen a few of them and I don't give a hot damn how good you are, but in team games, you're only as good as your teammates allow you to be at times. If you're going hard to cover your base plus you have to cover your team as well, forget about vs a good team. I mean 24 kills and 9 deaths means nothing when you have 3-4 team members posting up 0-5 kills and near 20 deaths, game after game, after game.

That 24 and 9 is also hard to get to when your team is flat out getting man handled and then you have 3-4 members of the other team spraying you.

This is why I like SnD... only game mode where you can literally carry a whole team. Nothing feels better than being the last one left alive on your squad and clutching 1vs3 or more.

I randomly ran some COD4 the other day with my friend and the lobby started out me, my friend and some randoms vs 6 gold crosses. During the match my team kept leaving so it was basically 4vs6 like every round. Not to mention our connection was the worst in the lobby. I clutched 1vs5 and 1vs6 for 2 of those rounds. My heart was literally racing... you can't get that with TDM.

Felt good playing COD4 again... I miss it
