QB THREAD - 2x quarterbacky award winner: Lamar Jackson

I get that 4 of the TD's were inside the 10-15 yard line and catch and runs by Cobb/Montgomery but jesus...

i think what i find most impressive about the mannings, bradys, rodgers group is how in control they are.

for instance, anytime it's 3rd and 1, brady always gets them to the line for the sneak, and they usually get it.

mannings ability to just read who is where at all times.

rodgers drawing guys offsides, and every receiver knowing to run a go, and him taking a shot downfield.

they're always in control, always dictating the game. it's amazing to me.

Brady has to have like a 97% 3rd and 1 QB sneak success rate.

i actually think it's higher :lol

i can't remember him getting stopped on one. maybe 1 or 2? maybe more, but it's pretty nuts.

man that alex smith performance last night. seeing the highlights from the game again this morning just had me dying. 17 play 2 minute drill :rollin

Box Score Bandits probably looking at the game like "Man, Alex almost had that one... 300 yards passing, so close!"

Alex Smith threw the ball 40 times and only threw one interception and that was only because he was forcing it in a blowout, so that interception shouldn't really count.

Plus he didn't get much support from his running game and defense.

Only to an Alex Smith led team is 17 points a blowout.

You must've not heard its ok to throw interceptions if your team is down by 2 touchdowns.

It's funny because it's true.

Alex Smith is 1-30-1 in his career as a starting QB when his team is trailing by at least 14 points at any point.

Word on the street is that its okay to poo poo interceptions and turnovers if you have a bad defense, bad running game and bad offensive line.

If you allowed every quarterback that grading curve a lot of them would be "elite"

Those 40 passes, 30 of them were behind the LOS.

Also, nobody is in here claiming Alex cost them the game, or that that INT was his fault. It was 31-7, without him throwing a pick yet.

Damn, I didn't realize just how good Dalton has been through 3. 2nd behind Rodgers with 121.0 QBR.

Tyrod Taylor I have been watching and im curious as to how long he will keep it up. 74.4% passing

Brady 58 first downs :x

Its wild about how there is a direct correalation between the LIons offensive output and how deep Stafford throws the ball.

They hired Caldwell to "fix" him. He's never going to be super accurate, ever. He wasn't in college and isn't now after 4 seasons.

He's is what he is and and their "fixing" has turned him into turnover prone Alex Smith.

Stafford aside how to do pay Calvin Johnson quarterback money and not allow him to do Megatron **** at least once or twice a game?

Part of it could be Calvin starting to slow down tho, no? So they are trying to balance between that???

Calvin looked like he still had it against Talib, just hasn't been getting many chances
