RAIDER NATION Season THREAD:

The patch reminds me of the Chiefs jersey, and while the patch is cool I think the Chiefs should be the only team doing that.

The thought of a uniform change always scared me. Even wearing a uniform thats ours but I'm not familiar with(AFL) I'm not comfortable with.

Even hearing that the Browns might change theirs next year upset me.

I'd be curious to see a "black-out" jersey ensemble but at the same time I don't want them to start changing/experimenting with things because I feel the uniform should be untouched.

Black pants alt would be crazy. But the home jersey should never change. Still mad at Kiffin for choosing to wear white at home. WTF.

Film breakdown: When Raiders QB Carr locks on to WRs

When you watch Raiders rookie QB Derek Carr, you see why many teams were intrigued by him heading into the NFL Draft and why Oakland inserted him as their signal caller ahead of veteran Matt Schaub.

Carr’s got the potential to be a good one down the road, assuming that organization doesn’t foul him up. As we well know, the potential for that certainly exists.

When giving us his opening sermon on the Raiders, Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick noted that, “Carr is clearly taking control. He’s been impressive; gets the ball out quick, makes quick decisions, athletic.”

I dispute none of those points. I went back and put a stopwatch to every one of Carr’s throws through the first two games. He’s getting the ball out - on average - 2.51 seconds per toss. That would put him in the upper third of NFL QBs. That would indicate a decisive signal caller.

Carr began the season-opener against the Jets hitting his first seven tosses, but two things stood out:

1) The Raiders were simplifying their attack. Carr was making a fair amount of throws sideways (like in the early Tom Brady days)

2) Much of what he did seemed pre-determined before the snap of the ball and when that was taken away, he scuffled more than most.

According to Pro Football Focus, when forced to hold the ball longer than 2.6 seconds, the former Fresno State star’s quarterback rating is an absolutely dreadful 48.6, and only five passers have completed less than Carr’s 50% in these situations (Brady is dead last at 36%).

Coaches need to show us something this week.
Bad week for them to try and show something DA just doesn't have the tools. BB and that staff will coach circles around us Sunday. i have zero faith in this staff. ZERO!

What up NT, any of you guys going to head to London by any chance for the Raider game?  I'm heading out there and wanted to see if anyone from here is going or anyone else from the West Coast.  Hopefully we dont go into that game 0-3!

Not trying to travel that far to watch them lose to the Dolphins for 1000 time in a row :lol

Have fun out there though, should be a blast.

Man I love the Raiders as much as you guys but I already have a hard time going to Oakland to watch this team let alone London :x

I know Allen is the scapegoat for the issues thus far, but the vets that were brought in have underperformed right? I expected a lot more from Woodley, Smith and especially Tuck. Regardless of that, our secondary is ***. I've dropped my expectations from 8 wins to 5/6 but the talent is definitely still there to win enough games to make the playoffs. Allen isn't the guy though still, I think. Olsen is a "play it safe" OC and Tarver has been mild in his attacks, but everything goes through DA and he is just too laid back to resurrect this franchise.

Roach not playing is have an affect on our defense. He make all the calls and adjustments for the defense.  I still don't know why Burris and Maiava are still on this team. We should have keep the Burnett brothers.
