Thats not putting anything into perspective bro, Gucci literally drops a new project every 3-4 months its not comparable, at all He wasn't ever a big commercial rapper to begin with anyway. His biggest commercial album did 89k, 8 years ago

ASAP last album did 146k, 117k of that was pure album sales which was really ****ing good. For reference, Future was the hottest _ of the year and did 151k. Only people who sold more than him that year outside of Future was Drake, Kendrick, Meek, Dr Dre and Big Sean.

This album did half of that and had only 12k pure sales, thats a huge drop off no matter how you slice it man. I'm sure he was expecting to do way more considering he been dropping songs, putting up posters/billboards etc for it since Jan and then capped it off with a big performance piece at Sotheby's.

Especially considering his own artist did 10k less with a surprise drop. You telling me Rocky in the same tier with Carti and Yachty now?

He's a bit higher than Yachty & Cardi but he aint Ye, Kendrick, Drake, Future status either & never has looked for that. 75K is absolutely on par for him. Rocky isnt a big commercial artist as far as music goes & people only knew the album was dropping for about a week. No Single for radio, no club hit & as far as media goes it was considered just a decent album. For him to do 75K is far from a failure.

Also we gotta highlight his last album was THREE years ago, The streaming vs purchase game has changed A LOT since then

Hahahahahaha, I remember those Mauri joints. Joints are SUPER trash, cats thought they were doing it cause of that price tag. Only designer shoe I didn't tune out back then was the Prada's. Had like five pairs of those joints. I still got one pair left. High tops, patent leather and looked like a real sneaker. Joints were built specifically for me. I still wear my pair once or twice a year.

I always hated that “killing” narrative. Ain’t nobody killing no ones carrer. What happened to Ja was due to compounding factors. And if I remember correctly Ja still had a few hits afterwards. Hell I remember Clapback bumping.
