Think about that, why is he listening to a 18 year old? He grew up on G-Unit and Dip Set.

How are they bridging the gap? If he were 18 making his arguments and taking the stance he does I could better understand.

This is just First Take about music and pop culture. It might not even be that sincere and what they truly believe. Joe has said he just likes to debate.

So you can't be 27 and enjoy 18 year old rappers? . I'm 27...and I think Kodak Black is nice. And I'm far from alone in that thought process. Not only that....but I'm well versed in rap from 93 til now. And have a solid understand of what came before. You're just disconnected man. It's ok.

He's two years older than me and I grew up on Jay, Eminem, G-unit, Dipset, TI, Wayne, Dro, etc. He's a fraud going out of his way to appease to 18-20 year olds when he's not even from that era or grew up on that music. He took his lameness growing up as a reason to disrespect the OG's and run with the young kids as a "voice" for their generation when he's not even from that you know that one dude who's pushing 30 from the hood who's always running with young cats because he wasn't certified enough to do dirt with dudes his age ? One would think they can use that as a platform for other endorsements, or even get the show picked up by Revolt or have it transition to radio, not to mention youtube ad revenue

I'm actually a bit surprised to see Drake hop on this wave (not even trying to be funny). 

After seeing Meek and now him  (these ****** are 30 too) of all people rocking them joints...you can't convince me that someone isn't making a concentrated effort to style rappers/athletes in them.

Today was the best show in a minute! Kanye got them classics on deck though. Atleast 3. Idk how ppl can say so far gone is closer to classic when the quality of take care is killing so far gone. I went back back through dude discography the other day and he's definitely grown rapping wise from songs like "the calm". Same with the RNB type tracks. NWTS and take care he's rapping better than so far gone easy.

I personally view the entire Trilogy as a classic...but I understand how someone would only consider HOB a classic.

Classic topic was dope. Weeknd can sing but no way can you tell me the entire Trilogy is a classic. That's like 30 songs and no way you're not skipping 10-15 of them. I'm not rolling.

Take Care has way too many skippable songs for me. I would skip probably half that album BUT the other half is his best music. Take half of Take Care and half of NWTS and he would have a classic.

I think MBDTF is Kanye's best album but I don't think it's a classic because I skip like 4-5 songs. If you replaced those with a few Good Friday songs and it's a classic.

I don't throw around that word classic like that. Off the top of my head, GKMC, Life is Good and My Brazy Life are classics. I got Trap Lord and Oxymoron in the MAYBE category with more time.




"Hey Papi" was my **** as a kid. I LOVE Jay and Timbo. My favorite Jay sound is with Swizz or Timbaland. Jay just fits their sale perfectly. Only recent Jay song I really messed with was "Glory" thought that **** was hard. Jay's last few albums were forgettable.

Combat and them got paid for their brief stint.

Joe ain't traveling to the city every day early in the morning for free.

And Ak wasn't going to reveal himself for free.

HOB, Thrusday and EOS are classics. It's maybe 3-4 songs from all three that might get skipped. I still don't look at them as "Trilogy" cuz they came out months apart and I listened to them when they first came out. But I understand a lot of people got put on to them when he repackaged them as one.
