I was so confused when I seen this video on BET. Song was HORRIBLE and the video was goofy. I couldn’t believe what I was watching but damn, that Cheers album is still hard as ****. I still play it.

That really was the Shady rollout. Doofy corny gimmick lead single.

Obie is and always will he nice imo.
They shoulda lead off with this joint tho

Got Some Teeth should have never been released. Its like you had to have a weird track to be a part of Shady instead of letting dudes be themselves

Joe said it on a mixtape years ago (if buying records was like voting different dudes would be on top) thought that line was so hard and made me look at every album I bought like I was voting for that person.

I recite Kim lyrics, IDGAF. I gotta wife and nothing gay about me. Her music was hard. Me and my wife was just rapping No Time while cooked Sunday breakfast

Dudes in here willingly admitting they bump “i’ma throw this p at my man” records out of disdain for Drake

They probably bump W.T.P. by Teyana too

This thread is nasty

Em's problem has always been not being able to step outside of himself and do what's best for the particular artist. It's like he keeps trying the same technique with artists that shouldn't be developed the way Em was.

I realized I didn't even count 50 as one of Em's artists.

50 really could have went to Koch and did well. That Interscope money pushed him over the top. It was just a joint venture. 50 was signed to Shady which was signed to Aftermath which was signed to Interscope.

I'm sure everyone let out a sigh of relief when it worked.

Eminem is not a label head. Period.

Does he expect everyone to be 50 or some **** ?

50 was organic and did it himself

It was like Drake on Cash Money, he would have popped anywhere of his personality, story and songs.

I didn't even really care for the Dr Dre/Em 50 work.

But it's why I don't understand why some of these dudes sign underneath rappers. Look what Kanye's ego did to every project besides Pusha's.

This I'm not too sure about. Me personally I didn't see that kinda star power from him nor Nicki in the beginning. Def not in the same vein as early 50. Wayne had a hell of an eye and he sculpted both of them. Weezy was the first artist Drake really bit off of and it just continued from there

Got Some Teeth was terrible :lol which is crazy cause that album is loaded with very good songs, including Em beats before EM beats became terrible.

Drake was buzzing like crazy tho when SFG came out and that was before the Cash Money signing I believe. He would've succeeded but just not as quickly from having the Wayne co-sign.

I wonder
When was the moment
Drake came to realize
Wayne washed
I’m bout to out-do him
Though
Now that I think about it
Has drake ever washed Wayne on a track???
That family feud freestyle all I can think of

You can’t be serious LMAO. Out of the 20 or so tracks they have together Wayne MAYBE has gotten the better of drake on ONE

Drake embarrassed Wayne on plenty occasions...and I’m a huge Wayne fan. Lol people said drake was his ghostwriter back then because he used to be getting washed to so bad on tracks

Off the top of my head
Miss me and I’m on one Wayne had the better verse

I realized the switch up for people liking Drake was around the time when Dedication 3 was out. People dogged Wayne on Stuntin and was praising Drake like crazy.

And yeah, I won't say he washed him, but Drake has outshined Wayne several times.

Drake's verse on Stuntin was hard though. I barely even remember Wayne's.

My boy and I have had multiple arguments about who had the better verse on Ignant ****.

Naw lol. He been getting hated on pretty much from the beginning. At first it was aha you’re and actor not rapper, you’re Jewish, you’re light skin you sing...then it went to you’re soft you’re emotional...then it went to you didn’t start from the bottom!! Then it went to you’re not tough, blah blah blah then ghostwriting...then it’s youre a pop star....and finally deadbeat. Ppl will always find something.

Music has been watered down and non-competitive for at least 10 years. That’s not good for acclaim.

If Drake had been truly succeeding amongst peers who want to have competition (whether friendly or volatile) he would get more praise. This is not fact, just opinion of course but, I’m 30 years old. Growing up, it seemed like musicians competed to see who could make the best work. Now there’s literally no competitive nature.

It is what it is.
