This whole era was magical man. How fast **** changed from 08-10 and that post A Milli/post Wayne type rapper/song then 10-12 the blog and Karmaloop era lol and then 13-15 was when Atlanta trap became the dominant zeitgeist of the game. It was crazy that we didn't realize how fast **** was moving and each year I feel **** kinda moves exponentially faster.
As I type this I think the rap game does actually move in two year phases and one artist/song/moment shifts the tides.
So where have we come since 16-18 and where is **** going for 18-20...
I sense a lot more tisakorean/blueface type artists where everyone is completely with their own style good or bad hopefully...post-Lil B rap game...eccentricity and HOW you do your **** will replace the traditional idea of lyricism and having to bar *****s up.
I know it's just me but I'm tired of seeing this ***** with the ukulele playing with every up and coming rapper now
It always has. Forgot what I was listening to. Maybe was Drink Champs with DJ Marley Mal or Big Daddy Kane...but one of them explained this to a tee. Rap actually might’ve moved faster in the mid to late 80s to early 90s. They were mentioning how the sound changed in 2-3 year increments and some legends couldn’t keep up.

That's not hard to fathom because hip hop was fairly new and there was a lot of room for creativity. Also why it's the golden era. Sometimes the first to do it are the best because they did it first. Unlike Rock, I don't see hip hop slowing down NO time soon because more than any other genre, we blend all sorts of different genres well.
It's that's Edward alter ego from KOD so doubt it'll have that trap sound.hope he uses the pseudonym as a reason to go full alternate universe and do a trap influenced project
Look at that roster. Too much talent
Unless Big Sean come back with a Detroit 2.0 style project, it's a wra for him. I'm calling it now
It's well known that Gucci fathered A LOT of these dudes. Gucci literally the reason I heard half of these *****s.
Was looking for that vid of Sean and Ye cousin the singer helping Kanye write Champion
But all I could fin was this
RIP to that little hand out and spin he used to do Graduation and 808 era
son popped up dressed like trap Elvis talking bout "take me back bruh"Get yo woman back Offset
I really don't want to believe that what's going on is a publicity stunt. But with Cardi explaining herself too much and the fact that there's no way this ***** should've been allowed to interrupt her set is what's making me think its for pub as well.
Ain't understand why he was putting Peewee on tapes til this dropped
