Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

Speaking of Cali sound, this still goes every time.

California ***** and I'm heavy in these streets
If you don't keep a pole, how you ready when there's beef? (If you don't keep a pole)
Lil' ***** think he cut, yeah I bet the ***** freeze
If that ***** want me dead, I can't let that ***** breathe!

cry me a river
an easy fix for this
is to not break up ur album into singles
and make it album purchase only
meaning in order to listen to the album
u have to buy it whole
and not be able to stream just 1 song

yo.

nobody is going back to buying albums dog. :lol

y’all gotta be realistic with solutions.

we learned how to pirate music at age 10 bruh and we broke on top of that a decade later :lol I’m not paying 12-20 bucks a pop for music.

u say that
but just like folks learned to stream
they can learn to go back t streaming entire albums
like how digital games can stay with u
they can figure out something similar to music
it will also take artists going back to actually giving a damn bout their craft
and i still buy albums
when the music warrants it

Sounds "easy", but that's not an easy or likely feat. Only way that would work is if the streaming sites come up with some way to prevent a person from streaming one song in place of a full album

the end road is someone being the first one to do their own streaming service for their own library and the floodgates is open for everyone to have their own service for their own music. but nobody own they own music. and who bout to have 50 apps on they phone for all the artists they like
