His verse on this 21 track he reminded me of Logic. You can hear how talented he is but it sounds like he still wants some level of acceptance from mainstream artists/listeners
Cole is "mainstream"

I will say this, he's talking like how I've seen damn near every black dude start talking when they get a "white" chick.
He is but he kinda isn't. Cole is both hated and loved, popular and unpopular. He's mainstream but most of his fans claim he's slept on so much that others are starting to believe it.
You can say this about ANYONE these days. There's a voice on the internet for whatever narrative you wanna build when it comes to any artist.
If we're basing it off the actual business of music...you can't get any more mainstream than Cole. He sits in the top tier of commercial rappers with Drake and Kendrick.
Yeah people are wild inconsistent with their NFL support/non support but I get it, something that's been apart of folks lives since childhood.Travis been talking BS though. That hot97 inteview is from 2014 when he wasn't that popular so folks ain't really care. He's always came across as the "black friend" of the white hipster crowd.
I see no problem with him performing at the SB though. I mean Jay was telling Dez to get his *** to NO to play for the Saints so I don't get why he's telling Travis not to perform. Even though Dez needs the NFL while Travis don't, people are still inconsistent with this "boycott the NFL" thing. Beyonce performed a couple years ago.
I think the Cole confusion lies in the fact that white people do not enjoy his music the way they do your typical rap artist. So when you hear all of the voices talk about J Cole it does seem as though he is underrated in comparison to the voices when they talk about a comparable rapper such as Travis Scott.I don't know of a similarly successful artist that has fans that claim as much hate or that they are more slept on than Cole. Understood he's CLEARLY a top tier artist these days, but I see far more often than anybody else that Cole is slept on or underrated or forgotten about even though he consistently recognized and sells.

Young boy the coldest young ***** doing it
Go to a Cole show and pretend like you're not going to see a zillion white kids lined up around the block.
If you get to the point where you're a platinum artist....chances are you have a **** ton of white fans.
lmaoo
***** too old for this. Insecurity man. A ***** that had the opportunities and seen **** like Dame shouldn’t play in the gutter
I watch cuz I'm a football fan. Watching the NFL doesn't exclude you from supporting Kaep. For all we know Kaep is watching. He still shouts out players for their play and still supporting him.
What was funny to me is dudes saying "I'm not watching at home, I'm watching at the bar". Then people that never watched football acting like they're doing something by not watching. The NFL is over 70% black, you're not getting all these players friends and family to stop watching.
I mean ur right***** too old for this. Insecurity man. A ***** that had the opportunities and seen **** like Dame shouldn’t play in the gutter
