So did this:
If you have a talk with my mom or grandmom they will tell you how big of a MC Hammer fan I was as a kid. I still listen to most of his hits today. I think his best tracks came from his Death Row days when he had Pac around. I could see his track "Pumps and a Bump" getting play at college parties. I've always said that would be a nice song for the Ques to hop to because of the atomic dog sample.Coincidentally, i happened to re-visit some old mc hammer songs on YT.
dude was actually pretty damn dope. And tbh, the music is still enjoyable. I actually been runnin a handful of songs back on “lets get it started” and “please hammer please dont hurt em”. When your able to step back from the vacuum of time when music was released, and listen objectively, you can see the appeal. Presentation was a big part of his success. I see it clear as day now.
he just made it to a level of superstardom where he became a parody for many. But becoming a parody in people’s eyes really only happens with the most successful.
lookin @ that vid that was posted and the too legit vid is a trip bc other than MJ, i dont really remember artists havin their music videos double as full length movies.
hammer was on another level. No wonder n_’s was hatin roun that time. Lol
Is it Lil Baby or NBA that's considered the best young rapper?
Also, can anyone point me to the best of Young Thugg? I have stupid amounts of time these next couple months WFH/frontline. And when I'm at work I have to keep my playlist as hood as Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation.

I simply don't have time to give these young dudes a chance.
