Just watched the snippet of the Podcast about Joe leaving and Joe really misunderstood his importance to Complex. He gave them the blueprint in making a great show and they felt like he ain't irreplaceable. Joe talks about integrity then says contracts don't mean anything. Can't be both. Once you are under contract a man with integrity will fulfill his contractual obligation and renegotiate at the end of it. Sound like Joe wanted his contract to be a bit different mid agreement, business is not guaranteed to work like that. If Complex wanted to be "fair" they could have cut him a lil check or a better check but they didn't have to because a company will always fall back on what's in the contract. Sound like he cared so little about how his role was described in the beginning they were able to screw him because of wording in it.

I get it tho, you see the company you working for getting some extra bread for your work and they want you to feast on the crumbs, def have problems and voice your problems but you agreed to the terms of your contract and if you don't respect what you signed and agreed on.

I think he respected it, but when it came time to renegotiate, that became the problem.

He's a content creator without his name on what he created. That's his fault.

Just like they can now continue to profit off his idea even when he's not part of it. His fault.

Only L I think Joe took in this is Complex taking the idea and continuing on with it (if they choose to).

Not sure how Joe Budden doesn't protect himself and his ideas from a media conglomerate like Complex/Verizon considering how privy he seems to be to the backhanded dealings that go on.

Glad The Brand went at Akademikis, true I don't consume their show via the channel, idk how to even get viceland but shows are free on the site. Curious to see what type of paper the brand is getting.

I was listening to their pod when it first started and it’s pretty bland now and their show is ok at best

those responses they came back with were pretty horrendous and they said alotta stuff they know aren’t true

they def know the importance of the internet and they also know they haven’t done anything as remotely impactful as eds

And I agree. The podcast is hit or miss now. The show is only something I’ll watch on YouTube when I’m bores

He definitely said he's still in negotiation...so isn't the door wide open for him to go with Joe if he feels that strongly?

I forgot to mention but when Whoo Kid mentioned how Cali has no unity, I was shaking my head. It seems like the south is being used as measure to define unity in hip hop. Which is cool. I respect what they're doing but the absence of that doesn't mean there ain't no unity. Nobody is beefing out here like that. All the majors **** with each other or have crossed paths. Ion like when people try to speak definitely of **** they don't know about.
