Dude got the perfect rap voice and great beat selection.

He just had to be a goober IRL :smh:

Nah, his beat selection wasn't that good at all.

Troy Ave was that dude who put out so much product that something would stick. You were getting yearly Bricks In My Backpack and White Christmas projects.

And dudes material was redundant, and he wasn't as creative or witty as Push or Benny to be interesting.

Plus most importantly, he was never real. What Faizon love falsely said about Jay-Z. That was Troy to the t. Now that dude was Scarface. Like he was super drug dealer supplying the entire east coast. That's what Tax kept saying, how nobody knew him. And he talked about money so much he wasn't relatable. Like Meek after the first album, but nothing else to balance it out. And even after the Banga situation and what he went thru he couldn't properly express himself on record. After that I thought he would have something to rap about, but nope. Same ol lame Troy. Troy had a audience, but then ruined it with the make drugs dope again corny **** and streets is a myth saying he was going to snitch.

Dude is playing a character like Cam in Paid In Full, and he's still in character.

If only Hot97 tried to convince ppl that A$AP Mob, Beast Coast, etc was as hot as Troy Ave's cold *** was.
