Solange album definitely got its just due. People raved about it the remainder of 2016 and 2017 as well.

Her aim was to do something a lil more artful and semi challenging. That’s why a good amount of her performances have been art institutions etc

SZA literally came up off Tumblr but what she’s tryna do now is a similar just a lot more accessible song wise. That’s why she had Solange direct the Weekend video. That song has kinda turned her into the females answer to Bryson Tiller

That album came out a while ago, but it had legs. Solange was out in 2016

SZA just came out last year.

I don't think they're even in the same lane. Solange came in on woman empowerment, consciousness and being woke.

For the record, I wasn't trying to **** on Solange's album...just saying that Sza definitely veered into that lane not too long after Solange had everyone lamenting on how amazing it was.
