Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

If he ain't turn down Next Friday who knows where Mike Epps would be. That role made Mike a star, I remember a lot of people at the time liked him better than Smokey.

I can see how some would like Day Day more from a comedy side considering how the film series changed as it went along.

The OG Friday was more of a straight up comedy based drama while Next Friday was less serious and leaned a lot more on the comedy side. By Friday After Next that **** turned into a full blown comedy, joke after joke :lol

Mike Epps was a fool in those friday movies...straight wildin when he was security in that shopping center :lol

this just came across one of the boxden tekashi/boskoe/LA threads.

if it wasnt already confirmed before. boskoe a whole susbucket he dead *** describing a gay porno in detail for the sake of clowning ol boy from hoovers. he weirder for watching that **** than bruh is for being gay.

You say this like you know lol
I don't need to know, I just followed Tuckers career before and after Friday which implies that film elevated him to superstar status, I remember every scene he was in was hilarious and can be quoted by any lover of the Friday film word for word. And how fans of the original film were super disappointed Smokey wasn't coming back for pt.2

He looks like he washes his face with a brillo pad.

Day Day and Smokey are equal to me. Day Day in Friday After Next was 24/7 comedy . Always been my dream to see both Day Day and Smokey in a one-upmanship battle to determine who is more Craig’s right hand man . I always say Friday After Next is critically underrated...but universally loved by black people. Hell of a movie. I usually rank them like this:

Friday
Friday After Next
Next Friday

I think Ice Cube himself underrated when we mention impact to “the culture” and just his overall celebrity, ability and standing. This was a guy who was the wordsmith for one of the most iconic groups in music, which led to a wildly successful and critically acclaimed solo career...which led to a wildly successful and critically acclaimed movie series. Which led to more ****. Hell, he even was an action star while being chubby, and also the star of a family movie franchise while talking gangsta ****.

Ice Cube is the Tim Duncan of rap, “the culture”.
Under appreciated legend who’s resume stands up with the best of them. Cubes reverence should rank up there with Hov and them. You could argue maybe even higher.

Mike Epps has only been funny to me in a couple of roles, his stand up and him as a person are unfunny

I'm shocked he gets so many jobs and people even pay to go see his stand up.

Mike Epps isn’t funny to me. Like at all

Mike isn’t good at standup...but he’s one of the most situational and natural funny people out there. Cmon man. He was killing **** :lol.

Just hearing this ***** Describe Baby D @ 1:45 is pure comedy:

“This fat bish get physical. She sell dope, do hair and baby sit at the same house. Police don’t even know when to kick the door in”

“This fat bish know about all the bootleg snacks before they hit the streets. They year 2000 snacks”

Or him when Pinky reunited with him at the party. This ***** moves everybody out the way to dap Pinky up :lol.

Come to think of it....Cube might be the GOAT :lol.

Forgot he’s currently the founder of a national basketball league that airs on Cable TV featuring retired nba players :rollin

Cube>>>

Thank you wavycrocket wavycrocket for doing what I was too lazy to do.

Mike was hilarious in both Fridays and All About The Benjamin’s might be a classic on the low.

Leather wig and suede sideburns still.

His stand up is eh, but:

Son had his moments.
