Been thinking about how fast rap seems to be moving these days and asked myself, what’s happening with the newer talent these days?

Was just taking a look at the NBA youngboy thread and there’s the resounding sentiment that he fell off.

When you think about dudes like yb, dababy, lil baby, chance the rapper, a boogie, and other cats who were outta here just a few years ago, why does it seem like their run is so short lived?

There doesn’t seem to be many from the newer generation that have staying power.

I don’t love lil uzi but him and 21 seem to be the only ones still around from that generation.

You could maybe say yachty too.

I’m just saying guys from then that are still relevant.

The first couple albums he dropped were good for sure. I don’t really check for him now though.

Savage mode was :pimp: but I gotta give metro boomin just as much or more credit for that.

No heart had me like who tf is this dude? Because it went hard

I still don't know anybody that was a chance the rapper fan. Never heard his music outta no cars, nothing.

Some weren’t that talented in the first place. YB probably put out too much music. DaBaby screwed his own career and made the same song 1000 times. Lil Baby will be aight. And I’m sure Chance still has his fan base of nerds and Black people w/no Black friends.

I heard someone playing Da Baby the other day, and I knew who it was just by his flow after five seconds.
