He has some cool **** and a cool vocal sound but it’s hard to even compare it tbh.
It’s like Post Malone, it’s trap sonically but that’s kinda where it ends
This is why a lot of his **** can come off vapid tho, even in a trap sense. _’s from the trap have a whole world to talk about and give you insight on (whether you think that perspective is valuable or not). Travis on the other hand really has no subject matter. I give him kudos tho because he (and his early team) realized this and finesses it by writing and structuring his songs really vague like pop/rock.

I agree that Travis doesn't have much content at all, but this new era of trap music (at least those at the forefront) aren't giving anything remotely close to insight on that lifestyle. Hence why that souncloud wave of rappers has blown up so much, these trap rappers watered it down so much that a kid who has never even been in that environment can study a few youtube videos & replicate the sound.
